You cant call it real drifting if you oversteer..

Drifting is to time in your turn w/o losing your momentum while

you turn.. for lemans terms when you turn steer and control it by steering it back or away from your direction..

Countersteer cannot exist without oversteer. If you countersteer before the car oversteers, you just go the other direction, off a cliff or something.

Even though both words have 'steer' in them, don't think that it's a choice between the two. The car oversteers, and you countersteer.
