My kees dig on my floor just like that. My male Timber digs in front of his water bowl when it's empty...almost like he's digging a well or something. Tala my female also is a little floor digger making her spot comfy. Too cute.
My Keeshond has been digging in front of our fireplace for two years now. I keep thinking there is something underneath... Maybe Kees just like to dig.
you know Lenashum,you are right.My friend also has a Papillon as well as several Kees,the Papillon is really smart too.I love wide awake cheeky dogs who are full of action,trying to out-think you all the time!
From what I understand female Kees love to "nest" my 13 year old and 4 year old also do this. They are loving and wonderful mothers and "nesting" is instinctive to them. They are also highly intuitive and when they sense love they also tend to nest...smile...
me and my family had 3 keeshonds, and they all loved to do this! I`ve been watching a lot of these videos- and its clear that this breed got a lot of the same behaviour! you just gotta love the kees!!

I can say that this is not a breed thing, my poodle does that too. Although I can believe that many keeshonden are just like this - silly and cute :)

I have a 7 year old Kees, Byron and he does the very same thing. I don't know of any other dog that digs quite like they do.

I have 2 Keesies and one of them does this too! He also 'humps' his dogbed which is not so adorable but definitely funny!! Keeshonds rule!
