  • I wish I could buy some of your artwork. You're a fantastic painter, Val.

One of these days I will >:D!

  • Where is michael myers?

  • ooo! I love it... this painting is my favorite or yours!!

  • I actually watched the movie IT when I was about 5 years old so I dont remember much :/ but I do remember that I wasnt scared the ending

  • Dude! I love your accent. Where is it from?

  • i saw that film really freaky!

  • The clown is like, his eyes show regrets, sorrow, sadness, but the smile, the smile shows madness, madness from all the stress and fustration, he doesnt want to be like that but, he is pushed to the point where, its pushed to the place where it would do anything evil, messed up...XD, yup, thats what i think, hope i win XD

  • WOW!! that is an amazing Painting! like no other. when i was like 5 i watched that movie. and I WAS TERRIFIED by sewers for a long long time. so anyway. its spectacular! just WOW im awestuck!

  • That is SICK! And I mean that in a good way!!!

  • very scary

  • Damn, I want that painting!

  • well. ur right. we always are afraid of our imaginationg and by that i mean the creepy faces and images that we creat in our mind and movies. well, we are scared of the fantasy and not of the reality. the humans themselves. us.

well. people do bad stuff such as murder etc. which is in the really life but not inour imagination. (we are afraid of imagination and not reality.) love ur paintings. love them!

  • OH MY Gosh Val, Talk about Beauty and the beast! You really brought out the beast in that clown and you are so beautiful. Awesome combination!

  • Also i slept roud my friends the other night and watched this horror film and i cant rememer the name but these kids were in this house and this man appeared behnd them when they were at top of stairs i couldnt watch any more i was so freaked out because it was night and pitch black

  • I remember when my big brother scared me so bad i ran screaming into the living room for 5 minutes straight because i watched Dr.Who with the scary freezing angels and he jumped out from behind the door with a clown mask on and got stuck :p this was when i was 9 or 10 and now im 12 so that was the scariest movie for me Dr.who with the angels

    love amber :p

  • I love it. I havent been on youtube much lately. but after watching this i will be on more. Im glad i subscribed to your channel awhile back. Im thinking of going to art school to paint, and you inspire me :)

  • Very scary. I saw an interview of Stephen King on Amazon. He said he had just finished writing "IT" when he was flying somewhere on a plane. All of the sudden a clown got on the plane and sat down beside him. No ordinary clown. It was Ronald McDonald and he sat down and lit a cigarette.

  • That Was my Fav Drawing You Have Done. I Am Of It Myself. I Am An Arisist To. I Love Just Geting Out A Blank Peice Of Paper, A Sharpie And Just Going Wild. Its Amazing To Me How Littlest Things CAn Become Somthing Amazing.

  • Can I make a baby with you ?

  • it looks like a dog

  • Those final scenes of the Blair Witch Project were fairly scary.

  • that clown is more frightening than my mother......cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember when I saw that movie. It was morning, and I was at a friend's house, and I got sooo happy when my mother arrived early because I didn't have to finish watching it. We also ate amazing cranberry muffins. yummy yummy in my tummy.

  • electric fence jerks rabid clown dog at strike of lightning -- oooohhhhhhh

what luscious midnight purple and haunted eyes --

not certain if this is scared or scary

Val - art of shadowed dreams ...

  • If you are really able to feel compassion for the demons that scare you, no longer will they be the demons that scare you.

  • Can't sleep. Clown will eat me.

  • Ever been to Venice? Some of the best masks used for elegant masquerade parties you'll ever see. Using masks allowed one to play out a fantasy & not be judged. Once you step over that line nothing is taboo. Interacting as/with "strangers" adds risk & excitement. Clowns have magic to draw us in without speaking. We are left to interpret their pain & joy. A dark side that knows no limits. Terror is unleashed when fear floods our minds. Hearts race, nerves tingle and our breath is stolen. Booooooo!

  • The thing that scares me most is my imagine, because often what we imagine is FAR worse than reality!

  • Who made the music? It was perfect to go with the painting.

BTW, what's your accent, where are you from?

  • Last. The last post.

The last thought I had was that we have nothing to fear but ourselves. If clowns make us afraid it is because they remind us of what we most fear within our own being. What is that? Fear of letting loose and being so crazy that we fall into a psychotic maelstrom which propels us away from the last vestiges of sanity we thought worth clinging to, until, at last we truly can look ourself in the face for one fleeting, beautiful minute. Perhaps that's it.

    Challenging.

  • OMG VAL AMAZING .. I got goosebumps.. cus I totally only remember that scene from IT as well. Except I was the wierd kid that scared her other friends by jumping on the sewer grate yelling IT IT IT IT and everyone else running away.

    HAHAHHHAHA

  • you should paint sweet tooth.

You probably could make him look even more twisted.

  • fantastic vid + fantastic art + creepy clown =me to post comment

clown + demonic unicorn = great art

  • Reminds me more of Killer Klowns From Outer Space; and I love it!

  • Here is what i fear:

1.Somebody doesn't kick me when i need it.

    2. Somebody thinks there is only one way.

    Science is already one way.

    3. People are too human, and there happens world-end like bible did predict. But waita minit,

can they be too human or is it just knowledge?

    Val's kinda 6xty, btw...

  • i really like the clown on the human body.

umm scariest movie? probably when i was six, and we were going to watch a movie at school, on halloween.

ther were a bunch of big kids, and when we voted on what movie to watch, and all the big kids picked slappy.

    i had nightmares for weeks.

then, when my cousin came back from mexico, she brought me this doll that looked EXACTLY LIKE SLAPPY!

it was so creepy i swear it blinked at me once, so my mom finally gave it to good will.

  • Awesome painting val.

Why are people so scared of clowns?

I've never been, must be the whole 'mask' take on them.

Good stuff, you and your paintings are never bad on the eyes.

    All the best from NY

  • Val, really excellent painting... I love the floating canvas, it falls right in to the theme... some may ask why, to them I quote IT who's talking to the kid when he's in the sewer:

"They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too! "

  • i think i saw this movie before five years, and i still remember it.i scared the grudge

  • Very creepy and scary clown. I've been afraid of clowns because of a Jack in the Box I had as a kid.

  • I want my pumkin ñ_ñ

  • I love the floating canvas. There are people that see clowns almost as creatures from another planet. I've always seen them as entertainers giving it all to make people laugh; never getting rich but living the life they have chosen.

  • It scared the crap outta me when i was a kid.

  • Wow, it's fun to see how much people want a poster of your painting ^^ See how talented you are!

When you said you were going to make a clown, I never thought it could be so beautiful and scary! Maybe will I be scared of clowns after seeing this ;P

  • val you rock and i want this poster. :)

  • something about the clown mask and the box and maybe the tissue paper make it look - to me like a dog wearing the mask in a box.

I love the way you painted the eyes if this clown. To be honest I have always really liked clowns, and they haven't really ever terrified me. This one is definitely creepy! But I like them at the circus! People and the thought of ghosts and spirits scare me the most. And of course studying for Physics gives me the creeps too! Love you Val Your work is always wonderful!

  • the blue black clown is he from the blue? or from the black? or is he just a circle traveler who will be back to wherever if you merely wait the proper amount of circle time? or not, depending on which way he is facing, or you are looking. and who's to say which is good or bad black or blue, blue or black for in this infinite universe is it not possible that under the differing light of a far away sun your black will be blue and your blue will be black?
  • I've never been scared of clowns but they have always had a creepiness to them that I could never put my finger on. And your painting depicts that creepiness that has always made me get goosebumps when watching movies with clowns. My favorite movie that featured a clown was Definitely IT Pennywise was always eerie and the scene with the little kid by the sewer in the rain still makes me jump :D

    Love your clown!

  • i like the clown from IT. :]

  • I am not mikma

  • when i was little me and my mom watched gremlins. those little creatures replaced everything i used to be afraid of. instead of thinking there was a boogieman in my closet i thought there would be a pile of those little gremlins waiting to get me. every shadow every bump in the night i thought was a gremlin.

  • 'Don't Look Under the Bed'. When a child stopped believing in their imaginary friend, the friend would turn into a boogeyman creature that would torment their child. The only way they could get you was to hide under the bed and grab you at night. At one part , it was said that the only way you would be safe was to cover your head while you slept. The first time I saw this movie, I was 6 years old and I slept with the sheets over my head for almost a year, even in the blistering hot summer!

  • the eyes are so deep and piercing!!! woahhh i am scared and will sleep with kitty cats tonite! you match up perception to vision to canvase (as to what i believe) to EXACTLY what you were trying to convey. i've bouth your stuff on deviant art before (bye-bye duckie..and more) but this one is serious and shows a CLEAR message. thanks Valentinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

  • thats really good!!!

  • The scariest image that comes to mind is that of a powerful, otherwise normal looking man with his arms encircling a weaker person and who is saying that he loves that person, and that he's not going to hurt that person when his eyes and body are saying that he is about to crush the life out of that person.

  • You are looking good in this video ( like always )

I remember IT ! and your right clown are scary !!

    **Kisses**

  • Clowns are supposed to make children happy, which is best exposed in the idea of 'Clini Clowns'. These people are heroes who let sick little ones forget all their misery for a while.

I understand why these supposedly totally harmless people (clowns, in essence, are big, funny, naive chidren) become scary if they get evil. It's totally unsuspected.

Small children suddenly freaking out and laying their hands on a shotgun on sharp, is a picture you wouldn't want to imagine, too...

  • 'IT'

Did you use another cam. it struck me that vid is sooo sharp.

Do some scary sounds again and again, it's so humorous or hororous. :-)

  • i think this is like an amazing clown (:

the colors , the everything about it!, you did an stunning job, and its just so mysterious i find to look at so misunderstood, but still its an amazing photo.

  • I thought that one of the scariest movie scenes was in poltergiest when that guy ripped his own face off. That still disturbs me when I think about it.

  • I think the unknown is the scariest kind of monster, when you don't know what it is you just hear noises and catch movements out of the corner of your eye that make you feel paranoid

  • I think you might live in a haunted house.

  • I hope not =(

  • that reminds me of a cold winter night when its thundering but no lighting and no rain. And i think the true reason that you you made it just a mask is cause behind every mask a true beautiy comes out,

  • Cool canvas, it looks great how it pops out from the wall. great vid as always

  • you definately have an amazing imagination. its good that you decided to just draw whatever came up,other than drawing a clown that was drawnd already.

this drawing brings fear and terror in my mind. AMAZING WORK. it expresses everything a scary clown should!!!

  • That looks more scary than Chuckie from the Child's Play movies. Excellent work!

  • That clown looks just like I feel inside,. But honestly, I like the living dead movies,. no particular charactar,. just dead people that are still walking around, eating living flesh.

PS,. Have you heard before you look just like JLo?

  • I would kill for that painting.

    lol.

  • Your videos are just too short lately Val... :(

You're so right about the monsters... People can do things no monster in any horror movie could... Maybe that's why I don't find monsters scary. Some spanish horrors are scary, they don't show monsters, they show madness, they show what pain people recieve from the world around them can create in their minds.

And about this painting... It's very good, but I wouldn't know what to do with it. For me it's too creepy to just hang it on a wall. :)

  • i don't like clowns and i HATE It. ut i would love to have even a poster of this painting. help me overcome my fears.

  • Fav' kind of moster woah that's a tough one! Well I'm usually drawn to ghosts/ spirits/ that sorta thing. I love the classic good vs. evil battles ya know? :)

amazing painting. It makes me feel uneasy. :3 in a good way

  • i would have to agree...the whole being afraid of what people can do rather than monsters.

  • This scary clown painting is so awful looking that

it makes me want to throw up. I sure couldn't have it

or a poster in my room, I'd be hiding my eyes from

    it all the time. lol.

Your hair sure looks pretty though. I'm just a sucker

for pretty things, ugly, scary, not

  • Scary clowns confuse happiness and fear. A confused conflation of good and evil which makes me want to scream.

They can't hurt me, they are not real. But what if they were? Are they like witches? Can they do magic? Crap, magic scary clowns! That would suck! They could make it so you couldn't even scream if you wanted to.

I see your painting Val and i want to scream, but it must be a magic scary clown because I can't now!

    Great work of art!

I want to be happy and safe again!

  • I think this is the cooliest painting ever last week i had to write 3 paragraphs so i choose my goals i wrote a paragraph about your paintings and how i wish i could draw like that. the teachers proofreading it so i havent gotten it back...

but anyways i was watching your old videos and all your paintings are beautiful and amazing... :)

  • Vampires are my favorite.

They are a wonderful combination of deadly and sexy.

Clowns are really just creepy. Even before the movie "It". No real person could be that upbeat and happy all the time with out having some sinister motive behind it. Mimes are better. At least they don't talk.

  • that's really good, i like what you said about being more afraid of what humans can do

  • hm, you are prety monster jk)

  • fast olding monkey \I/

  • Werewolves, slashers, and zombies. Those are my top three favs.

  • I can't sleep!!! Clowns will eat me!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE THIS!

  • im afraid of clowns too! i saw 'It' and seriously, the only thing i remember is the sewer part too, and every day I walk home, i try to avoid all sewers. -shivers-

    i seriously hate clowns. D:

  • you should check out Chet Zar, I think you would really appreciate his style.

  • Agree with the clown thing, I saw the movie when I was 5 and was never a fan was not fond of clowns. But good job on the painting, inspiring. Keep up the great work! :]

  • wow thats brilliant i love your idea!

  • Like I told you on facebook, I think Jason is the "coolest" horror character since he just keeps getting up no matter how many times you "kill" him. It was a pretty weird movie but I have never been scared of any horror movie characters... But wow when I saw the eyes before seeing the painting I really expected to see a sad, depressed looking clown, but with the addition of the mouth it totally changes the clown's persona! It is creepy and sad, I love it! :D

  • i love i can just remember that seen and just love how ur art just works out with what every you do . i Know a lot of people are scared of clowns because i am one in the haunted house i work at but still love all ur art keep on making more

  • I really like this painting. I love when people combine any of the arts with fear or horror because it's a very simple primitive emotion, and yet sometimes the strangest things scare us! haha I too agree that monsters arent as scary as real ppl :P

  • It's great art, but very creepy. I'm not sure if anyone might want a copy of that since it might give them nightmares. O_O

  • great painting !! you seem very confident with this "grotesque" part of yours, I like that very much :)

my fav horror character is the witch in blairwitch project, I would never imagine to be scared at this extent in a movie anymore... the fact we never see her... omg nasty !!!

  • Doesn't everyone think clowns are scary!

  • Loved it, especially the contrast between the smoothness, and sort-of softness, on the clown face next to the black background sort of slathered on.... :)

  • Honk! Honk! Honk! Die! Die! Die!

  • love the floating canvas. gives it a nice effect (:

  • I think you hit the nail on the head or the clown on the smile with this one-Great job!!!

  • Mmmm cheese..

  • i love the dramaticness of the paintinging shows the horro and sadness of the clown :(

  • Good job Val, thats why you work with me I am an old scary clown.

  • that is one scary clown...creeps me out.

  • thanks:D I love working with "unpretty" things...

  • i really did like your painting i think you are very talented painter.... i would love to have one of your paintings.. just for an idea someday you should paint a sad lonely tree just by itself maybe just an idea.. love your videos i watch them all the time ... keep up your good work.. it inspires me to paint but im not very good but it gives me kinda insparation.... buh bye

  • Fear not little lady. I am here to make you laugh until you die, MUAHAHAHA!

  • ...nice clown, nice painting...creepy feeling the painting gives me...and with that I would have to say...I love it...I can go into detail on the how and why but don't really wanna sound like a snobby art prick right now...love ya ;-)

  • nice paintings u do...I remember i had to draw a clown with cold colours for an exam and it came out very similar with yours....

  • i really like the actual shape of the canvas its on, you know? its not just square and flat edges, but it has slanted edges, even that makes this painting more creepy :D yet awesome!

  • oh dear god... I just got very hungry

    !

  • that painting scared me... it was realy awesome... i think the scraiest 'monsters' are the real ones who live among us-they scare the hell out of me!

  • dont know why but it reminds me of Bette Davis in the baby jane movie

  • w00tt'111!!!

    dhat vas €pik.

  • Love your painting Val. It makes me think of the song... "Don't you love a farce; my fault I fear

I thought that you'd want what I want - sorry my dear

But where are the clowns - there ought to be clowns

    Maybe next year..."

  • awesome video u get better every time !

  • you are SO cool and so is the painting

btw i love the movie 'it'

  • Oh, gosh i hate clowns, they are soo scary! i don't even know why im afraid of them...i would have to agree with val, i saw 'It' when i was a little kid....

but there is one thing i am much more afraid of.........i am absolutly terified of catterpillers (?spelling?)

  • This painting is very dark!

I remember the other painting you had with a clown in a bathtub and a rubber duckie to soften it up....

    But this painting is DARK...!

    Love it!

  • thanks! :D

Awehh I can't believe you remember that painting <3

  • Don't have a best comment. But did you have your hair done, It looks real pretty.

  • Creepy scary painting, Val!

    <3

  • haha my master plan to scare everybody is working... :P

  • That's the scariest Clown i've seen!

Even though it's scary, maybe if you put it by your bed side it scares away bad dreams?

    That would be cool!

    I Really like it!

  • i like it!

  • I thought i was done with therapy. :D

  • Id think I can Make the bast comment BUT Id have to to say that i love it. Nice job.

  • that picture like seriously creeps me out

i bet it comes to life at night *shudder*

  • I mean send me the poster of the painting please?

  • you are funny, sexy and an awesome artist *SMOOCH*! Now send me that painting woman!

  • KYAAAA - Im petrified...

    I like that claun : )

  • great painting; it makes me think of the 'screaming Popes' by Francis Bacon.

  • Watch the movie Killer Klowns from Outer Space!!! The clowns fly around in a circus tent space ship and shoot people with popcorn guns!

  • OMG..I am scared of clowns like nothing else..and yep the movie It (and the clown hiding in the sewer scene was the most terrifying thing in the whole movie) had lots to do with this. ;_;

  • THE BEST COMMENT EVER!!!!!!!

  • You just had me scared of clowns for the first time in my life. Well done! ^^

  • looks like a really really ugly... dog

  • I don't know what to be more afraid of; the clown or you Val, the one who created that horror.

I wouldn't be surprised if that painting gave you, or will give the new owner, a scare in the middle of the night when going for a midnight snack, or coming home from a late night.

  • I dont know why this scares me but, The Grudge and The Ring terrify me,and other characters like that. Those things and ghost stories of little children creep me out!! Hearing chainsaws and seeing them really scare me too. What if the grudge comes at me with a chainsaw :,( !!!!!!!!

  • if the grudge comes at you with a chain saw

    well... your screwed

  • Beautiful work. Are you less scare of sewers now that you got this painting out?

  • please show your books. i love latinas boobs

  • wow you are really good at that

  • Michael Myers!

  • Hits the spot. You've always floated around the mysterious. Finally some real darkness.

  • love this painting the most of all of them! why? because it speaks to me...it expresses everything I am afraid of and everything I should be afraid of...but I am not

  • freddy is ok but i like jason MORE!!!

  • favorite horror villain ?

    I'm sorry Val, I don't think I can choose =p

I just love the all horror films, they are always so creative and different for the sake of creating shock or an atmosphere preparing for you for that scare ; )

  • Perfect painting for the Night Gallery.

  • Awesome painting!

  • I have always hated clowns the most.

  • That is an awesome painting. Sounds like many of the politicians!

  • your clown is beautifully terrifying

  • I like you am very scared by clowns, strangely enough my husband is not at all. He and his family used to all dress as clowns for fun. So now we are sitting here watching your video togather arguing about your clown.lol I say your clown is amazing and very very scary, he says it's not scary at all and just looks happy. I guess that's what ya get when your husband is a clown. ugh. Great work Val.

  • I have loved halloween my entire life, and it's actually one of my passions. My house stays decorated with horror movie characters & halloween decorations all year long. I have huge collection of evil clowns & pictures, this would be amazing for my collection. This is, in my opinion the best painting I've seen you do. :) Love it Val! If only I had the money to buy the real copy of it. The music made the video tie into Halloween as well, that was a great effect! Another great video & painting!

  • that's an amazing panting.

  • just about every character from X Files.... permanently screwed me up since I was a kid :/

  • Don't pick my comment. I don't want the scary poster. Too scary for me. Give it to someone else, that is, if they are not scared of it.

  • Watch "Killer Klowns from Outerspace."

  • Michael Meyers. I love the way how he is such a creeoer. and he doesn't like run and pant, and get tired! he's so cool, and he can survive like, anything!!

i also like leatherface, although he is quite the opposite of M.M. :)

  • I was very surprised to see this video! As a child I watched the movie the IT and was terrified of clowns ever since!! I remember one part of the movie when the clown was in the sewer and he was taking to the child looking into the sewer, and the clown said "Do you want a balloon they all float down here"! OMG I hated it! I still have nightmares about it! Seeing your painting will give me nightmares tonight, but I was glad I'm not the only one that movie had an effect on! Thanks & keep painting!

  • When I first read IT, I was so happy because someone had finally put into words, all that I despised about clowns.

  • This clown painting will haunt my dreams.

    :''(

  • Ok, so... There are lots of horror characters I am scared of... for one, Freddy Krueger.. that is a childhood fear though.. but the thing that scares me the most is not a character, but an actor.. i am Petrified of Christopher Walken.. I know that is LAME but that is what scares me... Oh btw, your painting is AMAZING.. I like to dabble, but if i could do to canvas what you do.. I would call it more than dabbling.. thanks..

    TNK121281

  • your beautiful

  • My favorite Horror monster? ... The Headless Horseman from "Sleepy Hollow", called forth by the dark powers of a witch, riding that heavy-footed black horse out of the fog in the dim moonlight, bearing down on his next victim, a flash of cold steel, and... Kind of give you chills thinking about it, doesn't it??? ;-) Anyway, that's my favorite.

  • PS - I should specify ... Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow" :o)

  • I was 5 and my brother was scream for halloween and i was a little flapper girl and he had this bloody knife and all night he would pretend to kill me and from that day on he would run in my room randomly with the scream mask on and the knife and i would yell at the top of my lungs and now 11 years later, i am scared out of my mind when i see screams face on halloween or on tv or anywhere.

i love the painting, hope you like my comment

  • Ughhh i Hated that movie so much when i was little. One day i didnt want to be the only one in the family freaked out by the IT movie. So me and a close friend of mine took my brother over her house to watch it with him and every time IT came out we would sneak up on him and scare the Pants out of him. But he wasn't the only one getting scared my friends dog would hide under the bed when my brother would sream. It was sooo cute but in the end i was still the only one that hated that movie...

  • As much as I love you art, I don't think I should have watched this. Clowns freak me out as is, and this one.. *shudder* you did a fantastic job on it though. If it didn't have that creepy factor or being a clown I really would love it ^^

  • The art derived from creating an effective contrast to the traditional clown archetype that gives this work such an effective and illuminating presence.

Maybe that is also what makes Val's "scary face" so effective? ;)

  • Should've had a spooky "Eeeeeeeeeeeeat youuuuuuuuuuuuur CooooooooooooooOOOooooookies!!!" at the end.

  • That painting is amazing. I would post something to try and win it but I hate clowns. A lot. They are one of about 3 things I am absolutely terrified of.

  • I also share this fear of clowns that you speak of, but the most scary thing for me (even scarier then clowns!) is normal people doing horrible things.

You captured my fear so perfectly in that painting that I'm afraid to go to sleep now! XD

However I know that you are just a pretty painter and not an oracle of death, so I think I'll be ok. :)

  • Holyy cow !

That "Eat your cookies" Part was adorable !

Made me want to eat you upp xD

Butt thenn I watched the Video again and was like ! Oh no . This clown is going to kill me for eating you

  • I saw that clown and pooped my pants!!!!

    5 stars!!!

  • my girlfriend knows it creeps me out, so she always says "beep beep" and "they all float down here".......that's what Pennywise the clown says to the kids in "IT"

but Michael Myers is still the best horror movie guy ever!

  • Possesed little children, aliens, slashers,

    Lovecraftian demons,undead zombie gnashers.

I'll keep it real short, but please don't get pissed,

There's so much to scare me, I must make a list.

    The Japanese movie Ringu,

John Carpenter's film The Thing, (whoo!)

    The Hellraiser known as Pinhead,

Night Of/ Day/ and Dawn of The Dead,

The creatures from the murky Mist,

what creeps me most? The Exorcist!

  • is anybody-else's twitter down? today didn't work- work 16min- doesn't work now :P
