  • I love that Draco has a New York accent. Fuhgeddabout it Spidah-Man!

  • Does Jimmy have asthma or something?

  • @kurtshock It was created specially for Power Records. Arthur Korb wrote and produced the story, as he have done for several Peter Pan / Power materials.

  • man or astroman?

  • do you have the original copy of the comic book ?

or where do you get the pictures ?

i really need 4 of them, if you could help :)

    thanks

  • Wow I have the original record, too. What memories.

  • Thank you very much for uploading this. i thought these were forever lost in time.i am currently reliving my cherished childhood memories of all things super-heroes! too bad they didn't pick a comic that kirby drew. that would have really been great!

    Excelsior!

  • I loved this one as a kid, thanks for putting it up! I still remember alot of those lines. The line in the beginning "Isnt this better than being with them?" seems to be the most vivid one.

I also had Mark of the Manwolf, Conquistador, Abominable Showman, and a Captain America tale called And A Phoenix Shall Arise. I'd love to see those posted sometime if possible. Thank again for the trip down memory lane.

  • this sounds very very familiar......

  • I have the big 33" record that has both this one and manwolf on the other side.... still plays to

  • Jimmy sounds like a dirty old man.

  • Dude, thank you for posting this. I wore mine out too when I was a kid, on my little fisher-price record player. Funny how entertaining this thing was, not just a comic, but not a movie, somewhere in between, and yet was infinitely enjoyable.

"Let us dispense with pretense, Spiderman," was what I was thinking of when I googled this.

  • there is one called Mark Of The Man Wolf... you ought to put that one up too! :)

  • holy crap! I got this when I was a kid at a book fair at school back in the early 80's...I haven't heard it since I was a child. I wore out that little 45 record and the book. Man, thanks so much for posting this....AMAZING!

  • OK...this is weirding me out...lol

I have not seen or heard this book/record since I had it in the mid-70's and as it was starting to play...I was able to recall some of the dialogue and say it the same time as it was being said on this youtube link without looking at the comic...lol I guess I listened to it hundreds of times back then! :-)

  • @MisterHuskey You're not the only one to speak along with the dialogue...every time I play this album I tend to do the same thing whenever Spider-Man gets into action...

  • As the camera zooms into the cover image, I can hear the "spidey super stories" theme song from "the electric company" play in my head..."spiderman, where are you coming from, spiderman, nobody knows who you are".

  • "Mark of the man-wolf" is the one I have. but I thought I would give a listen to this one.

  • i've been trying to find the one about spider man and jamesons kid being a wolfman or some rock brought back from the moon or something to that effect but cant find it. if anyone knows what im talking about let me know

  • Wasn't there another Spider-Man story. I think it was on Buddah Records.

  • Incredible, really, I have the original cassette that my father gave me over 20 years ago... but seeing the images... I... wow, you brought me back to my childhood, thank you a thousand time for posting this.

  • For those of you out there that may be wondering how he got such a clean recording; He probably used a recording cleaner program such as groove mechanic. You can download it free. It will take out all of the pops and hisses from an LP recording. Then again, some ppl prefer to keep the pops and hisses in for a more nostalgic sound. Either way it's great to listen to all these again!

  • 4:17 the best!!!! eeeeee-yuuuccchh

  • I had this record when I was a kid. What a classic!! thanks for posting this.

  • I second that - I remember this one so well...now, if anybody had the one with Spidey & the Man-Wolf...that'd be great!!

  • @knightryderrwn hey i just put that one up..not the quality this one has though... i tried lol.. workin on part 2

  • @IcKeYsGhOsT,

Very cool!! This is another of those Power Records I loved as a kid - a shame they don't make these things anymore!! Thank you!!

  • You are the coolest for putting this together from the LP. This was my favorite story record as a kid. I played the crap out of it. I can't get over how clean your recording of it is. Great job!! It was fun to experience again.
