  • The music is "At a Georgia Camp Meeting" by Kerry Mills written in 1897.

  • I think this is the origin of the 1910s One Step dance, both are only walking and other features too.

  • This is Wack! Booooo, hit e'm with a tomato!!!!

  • It was simply called The Cake-Walk. Possibly by the Victor Minstrels. Others are Cake Walk in the Sky by Victor Dance Orchestra and Cake-Walk by Good Ol' ragtime Band

  • What is the name of this particular cakewalk song?

  • @SJFlattery

If you find out, please post. This is played in Yankee Doodle Dandy and The Magnificent Ambersons.

  • This dancing is so watered down. They need to kick up their heels and really move. They are too afraid of embarrassing themselves.

  • If you look at old pictures of the cakewalk this one is really a dull....

  • As a matter of fact I do have an HD camera -just got it

  • Good, I shall keep looking at your videos. Do you have an HD-camera? The pictures was so nice and clear.

  • It is a good clear picture. But you would benefit by using a tripod. It would then be a Great production. Hope I am not too cheeky saying this?

  • @elinshouse -no not in the least- I simply forgot to take a tripod that day.
