Verbeek was more of an agitator, somewhere between a Claude Lemieux or Sean Avery and a Theo Fleury or Darren McCarty. Verbeek had more offensive prowess in his earlier years and then he sorta became little more than a chippy 3rd liner and overstayed his welcome. I loved Rod Langway, he played 40 minutes and was a clean guy, but if you got physical with him he wouldn't budge. One of the greatest defensive defenseman in history. He owned wings moving up the boards, a master of the poke check!

Pat Verbeek wasn't a pussy, but he played nearly his whole career with a visor. Langway didn't even wear a helmet, which takes MUCH bigger balls. Also, only one of the two is in the Hall of Fame - Take a guess which one.

Rod Langway was one of the last classic old-fashioned defensemen. Great player, great captain, strong as a bull. He could have easily kicked Verbeek's ass. He should have, because Verbeek is a cheap-ass pussy. He maliciously swung his skate at Langway's leg, cutting Langway severly and costing the Caps a serious run at the Cup. Until Verbeek the pussy bastard retired, I was hoping that Langway would get his chance to knock that asshole out.
