I believe Britney Spears is better at performing her own songs especially Toxic. i believe there is big record company, lots of money and good manager behind britney who do all the job. britney just sings the songs that someone has made for her (and then her voice is modified with computer, autotune etc..). britney is just a product like many other singers.

You know what even if you don't write your own music which she did contribute to some of the songs she sang it doesn't mean you don't deserve your status. Talent is talent and Britney Spears has it. A lot of the things she brought to Jive Records and the world was of her own accord. For instance she took dancing to a new extreme and Jive had no part in that as Miss Spears excelled in dance before them. The point is that Britney already had the makings of a star which people are in shock of.

It's kind of depressing how much better popular music inevitably sounds when you take the original artist out of it. EVERY version of "Toxic" I've heard has sounded better BECAUSE Britney isn't singing it.

(The only thing I'd complain about this arrangement is that there isn't quite enough rhythmic pulse in it. I mean, it's great smooth jazz, but I don't think smooth jazz is RIGHT for this song.)
