  • Every time I see this I remember why I love sundance and I get GIDDY for the next year!!!

Thanks Tara. This is amazing and I'd think so evenif I wasn't in it.

  • One things for sure.

One day, I hope soon. I WILL get a film screened at Sundance.

Failure as a Film-maker is not an option.

  • this video makes me want to make a movie

  • It'd be cool to get some feedback from you. I don't have much experience. I'm still in school, but I'm learning as much as I can. Maybe you can give me some pointer on some of my projects from school on how I can get better and which areas I need to work on. Thank you!

  • Great vid, didn't know anything about film making, now I still don't! LOL But great vid, interesting!

  • Inspirational.

  • Los Angelinos' are not whimps. In the winter the average HIGH is 62 degrees and the average LOW is 39 degrees. Hollywood producer will chew your ass out if you don't talk right.

  • ive all ways wanted to creat a film only that ive come across the down falls of mony time and wrighters block at least i still have my creativity

  • Los Angelinos' are not wusses. The Average high during the winter is 65 degrees and it can get down to 30 degrees.

  • This is awesome. It has inspired me to pursue my dream once again.

  • 1 question: how did you get almost 20 minutes of film on here????????

  • !!!LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

  • I didn't watch all of it, but it was pretty interesting. I want to be a movie director when I get older. My animation stuff is very popular and everyone I've talked to loves my vids, you can tell by the comments I receive everyday. If you'd like to check out my 60 stop-motion animation vids, plz do! Thanks! Enjoy!

  • gud

  • good vid!!

  • I just want to say that I thought this video was very well done. and that it was very inspiring. Being a "film dreamer" myself, it has unlocked something inside of me. I feel more ambitious and I want to pursue my passion for film and acting. Bravo.

  • thanks brad.. im so glad. go for it!

  • Looks like a place where things are going on... Redford is right, movies with stories are good. But it's not a must, all movies on Hallmark have stories and they all suck for some reason.

I like movies that take me into its world. Very few Hollywood movies do that anymore. They're more like a painting of a product. They're so well made that they're not imaginative or real. They need to look at why movies from the late 70s/early 80s are so immersive.

  • For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.

  • muchas gracias

  • this video sucks

  • agreed

  • i liked that. its really interesting!

  • $200 budget

My friends and I all decided to go out and make a movie. Everybody says they like it but we need an unbiased opinion. So watch "The Killer car", "The killer Car 2" and "The killer Car 3 the return of Spud" They open with the teaser trailer for part 3 or the Return of spud it won't make sense untill you've watched all 3.If you have to watch one of them make sure it's part 3,that's where all the money is. Hope to hear your opinions.

  • if you enjoyed the video and want to offer some support, the best thing you can do is subscribe and comment and rate our videos.. as you know here on YT they are free, but as you can see we put a lot of time and energy into making this...and this is something that is free and simple that you can do to make a difference. If you dont have a Yt account yet, please spend five minutes to sign up.. thanks

    tara

  • nice

  • Haha, Kevin Bacon looks so unimpressed in that picture. The other guy is all having a fanboygasm.

  • I think you did a great job and NATESOR is a talking anus. I mean that in the most respectful way. I have never been there so I am greatful for this piece.

  • Rodrigo Garcia nice, he directed me in a few episodes of HBO's Carnivale' during the first season...

  • cool

  • ughhhh, what the hell? I thought the limit of pretention was so much lower. this proves me wrong. "Look at what I've CREATED!" "I'm such an AR-TEEST" "Most of the unwashed masses cannot begin to comprehend the enlightenment my film radiates." They usually don't realize there films aren't "challenging" to society, they are annoying and not entertaining. And the celebrity worship is painfully pathetic. They're just people, ffs. BAH

  • Pretentious is making such a comment when YOU (NATESOR) have produced nothing but your opinion. Try CREATING something first before you dog other's works. BAH

  • Sweet! SMi2LE.

  • like it!

  • hassiba my love

  • California and 50, burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

  • good!!

  • Really good :D

  • Tara, I enjoyed your movie, you brought Sundance to You Tube. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • lol

  • Great Job Tara. I'm not a fan of Sundance but you made it interesting to watch. Look for my movie CHINA WHITE in August of this year. Thanks. Todd Braley

  • good!!

  • you violated the 10 minute rule, your video should be deleted. theres no reason for so called directors to get preferential treatment. 10 minutes is the maximum for everybody

  • I thought Youtube themselves restricted videos to 10 mins? You can't criticise makers if they submit videos of longer than 10 mins and they get on here - it is up to Youtube to do decide if they get on or not.

  • Normal accounts have a 10 minute length restriction, but if you make your own videos you can apply for a director account that (I believe) has no time limit. However, the actual file still has to be less than 100 MB.

  • Very nice...

  • Hmmmm, Good, but not as good as my video.

  • nice doc! renegade filmaking at its best

  • Thank you. Sorry if I sounded rude. Just one of my eat the rich moods.

  • I'm a film lover

  • Yeah, looks like the Memphis filmmakers title "Cadavera" has the same concept as my script "The Retrosexuals", where contemporary kids have sex with dead celebrities.

  • Tell me how did they get to post a clip that's more than 10 minutes? Oh that's right, youtube is now gootube - YouTube sold to Google for $1.65 billion. So much for the 'average person' media. Google is hypocritical too.

  • it was posted becuase i have a directors account which you could get too if you create original content.

  • How do you get a director's account? Is there a fee?

  • philsfilm,, there is no fee to get a directors account.. i think it just takes a few days....

  • Got to love the crazies. What the hell does that have to do with Film Dreamers

  • Cool video. Very well put together.

  • Great Job Tara!!! LUCKY!!!! Sundance Film Festival !!!!

    SWEET!!!!

  • you totally sound like napolean..haha.

  • pretentious

  • In your opinion how is it pretentious?

  • great great cool shit

  • Wow! That was deep... Or was it??

  • Nice video.

  • *tip for the interviews... plug a light unit to the cammera or when you have a shiny background use the backlight option on your cammera... but the best thing is to have a small light unit. *

  • nice video

  • I think you are all idiots and have turned Sundance into a popularity circus of crazy, attention-starved, losers who all think they're going to make it because they can get Pee-Wee Herman to do an impression of George Bush as a midget on fire.

I'm going to Toronto. You all have made me hate American film. America, too.

  • I am a film dreamer, eater and sleeper!

  • steamin deemin!!!

  • the first thing i heard was:"i like park shitting."

    lol.

  • Nice video.

    -Chaoz-Xtreme dot net-

  • nice

  • the song at the end is the best =)

  • punkrocksknot, I think so too. The Readings just broke into that song to inspire me when i was having a hard time making that documentary, and because i was comfortable with them i got that one long moving shot.

  • A dreamer is one who lives in a world of "fantasy" not "fancy"! Bit of a daft mistake!

  • you should have looked up the word fancy

  • Nice style, well-made and interesting ... best regards

  • i hardly ever watch anything over 5 min on youtube but this is well worth the 20 minutes. nice vid!

  • Sundance blows. Redford's dream child is nothing but a community of blowhards who think just because they make anti-political films or 'indies' that they are cutting edge. Hope the roof caves in.

  • Thanks for that -- realy nice. A great look at the festival from a different perspective! Rock on!

  • Man, that was a really well-made video. Very interesting.

  • Thanx, :)

  • browniefartjizzmas, i disagree.. there were a wealth of innovative docs this year and opportunities for broke emerging filmmakers( such as myself) this year to meet top aquisitions people and attend free workshops and lectures.I believe the people who say Sundance sold out are just sour grapes.

  • amazing capture of sundance zeitgeist!

  • my butthole heard there isnt sun or dancing at that festival, :( sounds like false advertizing

  • Call me. We'll do lunch.

  • i dig it

so whats the best school for film

    anyone know?

  • Zaki Gordon Institute for Independent Filmmaking, Sedona AZ. Best education for the dollar IMO

  • Good vid, interesting. Thanks.

  • (Y)

  • great video

  • Very nice, go and view our trailer of the indie film we shot last summer my channel.

  • Nice film. Very nice. A wonderful time and place that was. It's great to have dreams.

  • A WONDERFUL film! Congrats, Tara!!

  • I love Indie Films.

  • haha, i enjoyed the story about the last minute Big Lebowski print rush. here's to sundance '08, good luck!

  • Nice to see a feature piece on the volunteers and staff who keep a film festival running. To the people who say they can't afford to go to a film festival: volunteer! One fest flew me in to volunteer, I ate better and had a nicer hotel room than my own crib, yo! Oh, if you do work at a film fest: insist that you see some films!!

  • cool video!

  • I'll give this movie 4 minutes and let you know

  • you go girl....fto

  • That was really great!

  • You rock, Tara! Keep those videos coming. . .

  • your gladness makes me cheerful.

  • This was pretty good. Pretty inspiring. Nice work.

  • hey photactivist, thanks for your RELEVANT comment... yeah i would hihgly recommend sundance as a great pleace to meet amazing and talented people.kind of expensive but worth it and the lectures and workshops are mostly free.

  • ırkçısın sen ırkçı kal, giy dedii tulumları

  • ok.. i guess im going to have to swicth the comments to approved only.. This vid is getting spammed like crazy and Im getting sick of the zombie postings.

  • Oooooohh! Suit you Sir!

  • that was fucking gay how the fuck did this get featured?? i could record my balls n itd be more entertaining

  • lmao

  • Only if they were in your mouth. then that might be of interest.

  • brett, you bad boy...

  • you made a film about making films? bizzare.

  • You will still be haunted, since you told people not to read.

  • cool

  • excellent very pro... good luck for the future!

  • cool video ver nice watch

  • this tells u kids follow ur dreams and u will make it, whether or small or big

  • I like the bit where they said about the film reals and carrying them around, "and sometimes they have to hustle!". Modern day hero's.

  • unless ur a director

  • It means so much to indepent film makers to get people to watch there videos about 12 year old girls getting molested just because she thinks that she has teeth in her vag. fucking sick, and in another video, a guy dies screwing a horse.

  • the rules say plainly NOTHING OVER 10 minutes

  • UNLESS YOU HAVE A DIRECTOR ACCOUNT.

  • if you have a directors account, it can be over 10 minutes. n00b.

  • unless ur a director

  • Snooze fest!

  • hasnt this been featured allready

  • Good work. I enjoyed your video very much.

  • Way to go Tara. It's about time this film is getting the recognition it deserves.

  • wow great way of editing, and that was just down right professionally done props to ya! I hope you had fun there ^_~

  • Thank you very much. Peace. Brett

  • check out my vids

    ^__^

  • Tara! I am so excited for you (again) but not surprised. You totally captured the vibe of being at Sundance. If anyone reading this hasn't experienced it...GO! It's an amazing experience of art, film, music, coffee, people, life, snow, parties and FUN!

  • hey lisa, thanks.. im glad my little doc is getting some attention, and i do agree with your description of Sundance...also, this year there were many opportunities for emerging filmmakers, free labs, lectures and workshops.

  • where is the snow ?

  • wow so that ris what happened to the underlings in these festivals while the celebirties go skiing and have " secret" hookups and get more free stuff ( ok maybe that was only according to entourage)

  • Twenty minutes? It felt like five. I was enthralled the whole time. Editing timing is good. Great doc. in my opinion. I wanna be a filmmaker!

  • Thank you. Yeah it still feels like 5 mins to me, always thought that was the best part of the edit (time just flys). A favorite of mine. Goodluck in Sundance Film Dreamers.

  • best of luck to ya. ill meet you at the big tops

  • whoa, howd you put a 20 minute video on here?

  • i love this

  • Very Good. Is Our Dream!

  • Great work. Keep it up! This is great for people to see the "backstage" of Sundance.

  • this is seriously interesting! very inspiring! ^-^ thanks!

  • This is just one gem of a documentary. Tight editing, and a beautifully crafted window into the human side of Sundance that lives and dreams outside the bright lights and big names. Captivating from start to finish - and I love the dialog over the black screen at the end.

  • This is awesome!!! Great job! Love the definitions. (being a "dreamer" I forget sometimes! lol)

  • Looks like I'm not the only one dreaming big.

This is not just a film about Sundance it's a film that SHOULD BE IN SUNDANCE!!!

Great job of editing and equally great job of finding some of the best dreamers at Sundance!

    See you in 07!

  • A very special edit for me. In my top 5 of everything i have worked on so far!

    Peace & Love

    Brett

  • more!

  • Excellent. I love the dream...
