How do you certify standards? Are even remotely involved with aviation? I don't think so. Pilots have the written and Sim exams every six months and their licences are signed and CERTIFIED by an FAA/CAA Examiner.

The hard way is the only way to find out that in every signle Lexus GS front panel squeeks. And no matter how many times you take it to the dealer, they can't entirely fix it.

@glamprom I bought an 2002 GS3 from a neighbor and the car has been in on frontal collision accident and it has combat scars to prove it below the newly painted panels, having said that, i don't hear any squeeks on mine yet. Only squeeks I do hear often is when I change the gear from park to drive and I hear brake pad making noise which sucks. I think you are kinda over exaggerating it but I could be wrong. Oh, I almost forgot to mention GS is a pig when it comes to fuel sipping...

@bruceyung70 Oh, I probably exaggerated about "every signle one" - generally was referring to 2006-2011 range :) We have two GS bought new from the dealership in europe. Both cars had this problem after about 5k miles. I have noticed that it actually reacts to weather changes too, since in hot hot summer and cold-cold winter everything seems fine, and when it's about 0-15 C it goes crazy from time to time. Had it seviced twice for my car and once for the other one. It's okay for now :) thanx.

Negative, I own an 07 IS350, paint SUCK. Easy to get a scratch, not durable and easy to chip. Come on Lexus, you can do better.

@blane237 Older Lexus was better then their newer offerings. Also I've had exceptional luck with domestic offerings, and nothing but bad with most of my imports. I also am not a fanboy of anything. I think it's ridiculous to be one for companies that could give a shit about you. One of the only cars to give me any satisfaction is a 1993 Lexus LS400 with now almost 900,000 miles, and you still can't hear the engine. Best cars ever made.

@b4ptist - Recalls? That is the weakest argument ever. Every car model from every manufacturer has recalls in it's life cycle. Most are never mentioned by the media, but some are and get blown out of proportion, this is how the media makes their money and people fall for it. There must be market demand for boring cause they sure sell a lot of them. Some Toyotas are boring (camry), some are not (supra), again, same trend as most manufacturers.

Baptist you are an idiot. Even with the "recalls" you claim, toyota and lexus still came out as top car companies every year in the last 2 decades. Check out consumer reports and JD Power. Proof is in the pudding.

@b4ptist - you do realise that the brake recall last year on toyotas was based on peoples "feel" not safety right?? The problem was that instead of a pedal kicking back at you like most abs systems do, the pedal would just go soft as the EBD system pumped pressure to the appropriate brakes. people thought that coz the pedal didnt kick the abs didnt work. on the contrary, the car just said "ur a retard and are gonna kill us both...hows about I look after the braking and you go back to sleep"
