Hank. I'm going to have to stop you right there. Right there at 1:02. Everything in Rocky Horror is supposed to be bad. If you didn't catch all the references to B-Movies in the opening song, it's lovingly parodying all of them. But when you say that the songs are terrible, that's where you are wrong. I live in Hamilton, the 'home' of Rocky Horror, every year they have a midnight screening and I don't go for the movie, I go for the people. Seriously, this year there was a guy there who was so hilarious I thought I would melt, an example: "You're wet" Random Guy: "SHE'S ALWAYS WET!"

YEAH ROCKY HORROR! My dorm shows Rocky Horror WITH a live cast every year. Also, my parents own a movie theater, and they show Rocky Horror at midnight every so often. SO much fun. Except the clean-up afterwards, there would be rice hiding under the seats for months...
i was part of a rocky cast too, although I just did props because being a teacher and dancing around in underwear probably wouldnt go over well. Plus I'm a 6'1' woman and there is nobody I could have played accurately. waa waa waaaaaaaa. the logical choice for who you played would be brad or dr. scott since you would need to wear your glasses, but I can see you doing a good riff raff. This is the fundamental issue I have with Glee in general, I apologize to all the Gleeks out there, but there are things that should not be touched and "remade" or "reimagined." RHPS is one of them.
i kinda feel like you have to love rocky horror BEFORE you see it because i have friends who hadnt heard about it (my stupid friends) and after they finished watching it with me, they were like “um.... what? why is this so big?” but then i also have friends that had heard great things about it and ended up loving it.
"Repo the Genetic Opera" is the new "Rocky Horror". Don't get me wrong, I love "Rocky Horror" (I sorta grew up on it...), but seriously, watch "Repo the Genetic Opera" if you love "Rocky Horror" and haven't seen it yet.
@katuni08 Like to start by saying I really like Repo! That being said, Repo will never be half the cult film Rocky Horror is, mostly because it (and its fans) have tried WAAAY to hard to make it just like Rocky, they've shoved it down people's throats and not let it grow on its own like Rocky did, they decided early that they were the new Rocky, and thats not something that can be decided it just happens. Plus, Rocky will never be repleaced, so the concept of needing a new rocky is silly to me
My parents took me to go see Rocky Horror on stage when I was seven and couldn't figure out why I was the only personmy age going lol. Then they remembered XD
My parents were in the melbourne blues brothers (who also did melbourne rocky horror reinactments - there are awkward photos of my dad in fishnets that I wish I'd never seen) and I was flown to america with them and all the other regulars to be in the sequal... I was 8 weeks old.
Also I just remembered where I learned the most about Rocky Horror. It's from a book called Fat Vampire in which they go to a showing of it! And what you said about people throwing stuff at the stage and shouting out better lines, that's in the book. And it's actually pretty good. The book, thought it's also kind of dumb in some ways, and the scene. Also, I don't plan to ever see the show. But the way you compared it to youtube was really interesting! Thumbs up.
I get the feeling that a lot of people don't really get Rocky Horror. It's a loving parody of all those really bad Sci-Fi/Horror movies from the "Atomic Age" that pokes fun at the absurdity of those films by taking it even further. Rocky Horror is basically an intentional So-Bad-it's-Good movie (See Uwe, it can be done). That said the audience reaction DOES make the show which is why the stage show is better than the film because watching the actors squabble with the audience is hilarious.

I am a teenager, and yes, I hate Glee. Now every time I go to a Rocky Horror showing, people tell me to just go home because I'm a gleek.
I AM NOT A GLEEK.
I've been seeing Rocky since 2009. I was 13 when I saw my first showing. I've seen it over 25 times. I know 90% of the callbacks people in the theatre scream It's belittling to have them say that I am a gleek and therefore I do not belong in their culture.
Ughhhh....Glee ruins so many things. But Rocky just hit home.

The movie is a joke.I was laughing so hard almost in every scene,because of all the ridiculous,impossible stuff that happened,except the really really vulgar and pervy stuff,because I am still a teenager,and I was just creeped out.I shouldn't have watched it,I know,I was just very very curious.That's what's gonna get me in the end,my curiosity.

Type into Youtube "Revenge of the old queen" and the first result is the first song from the planned film by Richard O'Brien. It's brilliant, I wish they would make the film.

I live in Hamilton, the 'home' of Rocky Horror, every year they have a midnight screening and I don't go for the movie, I go for the people. Seriously, this year there was a guy there who was so hilarious I thought I would melt, an example: "You're wet" Random Guy: "SHE'S ALWAYS WET!"

Great example: look at all the Sherlock Holmes stories, plays, and movies written NOT by Conan Doyle even while the stories were still running in the Strand.

YEAH ROCKY HORROR! My dorm shows Rocky Horror WITH a live cast every year. Also, my parents own a movie theater, and they show Rocky Horror at midnight every so often. SO much fun. Except the clean-up afterwards, there would be rice hiding under the seats for months...

i was part of a rocky cast too, although I just did props because being a teacher and dancing around in underwear probably wouldnt go over well. Plus I'm a 6'1' woman and there is nobody I could have played accurately. waa waa waaaaaaaa. the logical choice for who you played would be brad or dr. scott since you would need to wear your glasses, but I can see you doing a good riff raff. I would choose Hank as Riff Raff. WILD CARD!

I've been waiting over three months for this episode of Glee to air in the UK so that I'd avoid spoilers. It just finished 25 minutes ago, I come and watch this, and there are no spoilers! I feel a fool! Have learnt more about why Rocky Horror is such a *thing* though, so thanks for that :D

This is the fundamental issue I have with Glee in general, I apologize to all the Gleeks out there, but there are things that should not be touched and "remade" or "reimagined." RHPS is one of them.

i kinda feel like you have to love rocky horror BEFORE you see it because i have friends who hadnt heard about it (my stupid friends) and after they finished watching it with me, they were like “um.... what? why is this so big?” but then i also have friends that had heard great things about it and ended up loving it.

"Repo the Genetic Opera" is the new "Rocky Horror". Don't get me wrong, I love "Rocky Horror" (I sorta grew up on it...), but seriously, watch "Repo the Genetic Opera" if you love "Rocky Horror" and haven't seen it yet.

@katuni08 Like to start by saying I really like Repo! That being said, Repo will never be half the cult film Rocky Horror is, mostly because it (and its fans) have tried WAAAY to hard to make it just like Rocky, they've shoved it down people's throats and not let it grow on its own like Rocky did, they decided early that they were the new Rocky, and thats not something that can be decided it just happens. Plus, Rocky will never be repleaced, so the concept of needing a new rocky is silly to me

My parents were in the melbourne blues brothers (who also did melbourne rocky horror reinactments - there are awkward photos of my dad in fishnets that I wish I'd never seen) and I was flown to america with them and all the other regulars to be in the sequal... I was 8 weeks old.

Also I just remembered where I learned the most about Rocky Horror. It's from a book called Fat Vampire in which they go to a showing of it! And what you said about people throwing stuff at the stage and shouting out better lines, that's in the book. And it's actually pretty good. The book, thought it's also kind of dumb in some ways, and the scene. Also, I don't plan to ever see the show. But the way you compared it to youtube was really interesting! Thumbs up.

I get the feeling that a lot of people don't really get Rocky Horror. It's a loving parody of all those really bad Sci-Fi/Horror movies from the "Atomic Age" that pokes fun at the absurdity of those films by taking it even further. Rocky Horror is basically an intentional So-Bad-it's-Good movie (See Uwe, it can be done). That said the audience reaction DOES make the show which is why the stage show is better than the film because watching the actors squabble with the audience is hilarious.

Also, Chris Colfer and Darren Criss are cast members that aren't autotuned, and Kevin McHale isn't THAT autotuned.
