daewoo tried this in the USA and failed badly, the after service was horrable and they cheated the customers out of the "free maintance" that was promised to them, the techs were bad who worked on the cars,i know we had to train them , i would just fix my own cars myself then bill them :P the service in korea is better then avarage,its great! as well as the domestic korean market cars ,but exported cars had many cheap dumping parts installed,or were not up to par with korean market vehicles :P

Well Daewoo did very well in Poland, they bought the FSO plant and took care over the selling and producing the Polonez, and since Daewoo is be owned by GM, they produce several Opel and Vauxhall Modells for Europe in that plant.

narutofan9285, think again last year daewoo made GM over a 2 billion profit,the other divisions except holden lost money, then american GM wasted the money playing the forex markets with car profit money, typical corporate raiders! they wanted to sell vauxhall & opel to pay for their losses, thank god they didn't all the good GM cars are based off the opel/vauxhall,holden and daewoo platforms, the u.s. platforms don't sell well in other markets, buick in china is rebadged GM daewoo, or opel cars

Well what do you expect for that price? The ride is smooth,therefore it doesn't handle quite well.

Quite a lot of daewoos were made in Romania and i happen to own a korean nexia, it has 250 thousand km and it still goes like a dog. Those made here were used as taxi cabs on LPG and i've seen many with over 750k on the board.

I hate to brag about reliability, but they were a car with a purpose and they made GM a whole lot of money.For many drivers they're more than enough.
