0-60 in 4.0s and a 12.3s Quarter Mile...faster than an M6 (now dead) and incomparable better-looking. Handles better too, according to Car And Driver. I believe the BMWs (sadly) have been relegated to status vehicles for brand-consceous poseurs. 3-series and M3 remain somewhat of a true driver's car, but the rest of their line-up. In any case, Jaguar with XK, XF and a stunning new XJ have upped the ante. Can't wait for their 3-series rival. Hope it will offer a manual!

@rocknrollman1234 You'd have to do some research but... Jag has always had that opening on the front of their race cars even back to the 30's and painted them all with British Racing Green paint. So, it's pure Jag design even though the Taurus might be closer to home and more the car you see everyday.

Sorry for my opinion but i (along with a lot of people) agree that the front part of the new jag ('06 onwards) when viewed at an angle looks like Dory on the Finding Nemo movie. It does look like a fish. & the headlights look like sad eyes. The design that the late Geoff Lawson did on this Jag Xk8/XKR ('96 - '05) has the perfect lines & is symmetrically balanced that makes it one of the best looking car ever designed! Ian Callum mentioned he had some troubles designing the new one. So sad!

Just driven my sister-in-law's XKR Supercharged. Wow. So impressed by the power delivery especially when driven using the paddle gearshift. Superb car.

I bet you don't even live in AUS. I bet you're some BMW salesman or something. Either way, BMW is nothing but a crumple zone for me. You can't compare Jaguar to BMW now, Jaguar more matches with Maserati, IN FRONT of BMW.

I'd like to see a BMW that doesn't look the same, there's so many models I've lost track. XF sold 33,000 last year, that's probably already been overtaken this year.

Yeah, but BMW have had to have a better marketing campaign as they were playing catch up for many years. I mean what the hell have BMW done in motor racing until recently. Jaguar have won Le Mans 24hr 5 times and they have not used slave labour in their factory's unlike BMW. You're getting spam as most BMW owners or admirers are sheep or have a chip on their shoulders as Jaguar has been their target for decades and hence they have a justified inferior complex. All their cars look the same boring
