  • unzclayton, be sure to look me up if you come to the states, we can go crabbing, abaloning on the pacific coast. enjoyed this gourmet food and exercise for 27 nyears. caio, john

  • FYI, soy, they are ILLEGAL to scuba for! It is against the law to use scuba equipment of any kind to fish for, or catch abalone!

  • gothenburgmark

yes thats right no scuba: if you like to catch them mano-a-mano no oxygen just hold your breath and dive give the poor creature to defend itself run and hide.

  • correction you can catch with scuba but can only take up to 10 i think

  • no tanks allowed, that goes for spear fishing too

  • @chiron1100 You actually cant hunt them with scuba as for most underwater sport fishing like lobsters and crab though laws are different depending on where you are in the world.

    ps

The U.S. is limited to 10 during special seasons per person that is with appropriate license, I have heard that Mexico has an over abundant supply of abalone and therefore non restricted abalone hunting.

  • I hope he plans on eating all of them or selling them to me... cuz thats a waste

  • what part of NZ has abalone--north or south island, jpmiller

  • @jpmiller567 all over nz really, but we call it paua here, same thing but the meat is black

  • @jpmiller567 we call it paua and its everywhere in NZ

  • soo tastey! I love abolone.

  • ever see dirty jobs with mike rowe? there was one on abalone farming, them things just eat and eat..shit and eat some more! that one was pretty interesting to watch!

  • Abalone or Paua as they are known here in NZ are definitely a rich mans food. If you want to BUY it. We are talking $200/kg. BUT it is freely available to everybody who wants to dive for them. Limit 10 per person per day minimum size 125mm/5". Creamed paua, mmm!

  • Check out "motherload of paua", it's a vid from NZ.

  • This is in New Zealand, It is a rich man food if you buy it, but they are readily available if you want to go and get them youself.

The NZ limit is 10 per day per person with a snorkel, and must be 125mm or 5inches. Scuba is not permitted or else huge fines, take all your gear and boat or both.

I'm just like harcar2001, diving and camping, hunting and gathering is normal to us.

As for you bonnydays, if you don't like them, don't eat them.

  • they are not the most endagered at all!!

like most of ur vids - no facts only dribble from the brain.

  • moonlandingwasfake

    thanx for watching my videos

this species of abalone called seflih, Japanese and Chinese tried to grow them in controlled environment but it didn't work. this is why the price of this kind is 20 times the price of the cultured one.

though this is a street knowledge talk show but it not out of my head, should you see any discrepancy please video respond to educate my crowd and me

    i love you

    obaid

  • Unless you have direct contact with someone from NASA you don't know whether the moon landing was fake or not. All you get is someone like you dibbling on about it, telling you it didn't happen and showing you why it didn't happen and you believe a one sided argument. HA HA HA. Someone has a lot of growing up to do...

  • PS. Panda is the most endangered species. But close on its tail is a special kind of human, know as an EDUCATED person. They seem to be getting less in numbers too.

  • There is a place in BAja Mexico called Erendida where they grow pretty well when i was a kid in the 70s i use to pick them off the rocks as a kid now you need toscuba for them and expensive too. Thanx 4 sharing SD CA.

  • eating snails indeed.

    yuck

  • it's cruel that's what it is, endangered too...

can't you find anything else to eat?

    no vegetable dishes?

    why not?

hmmph. leave the little things to live their lives.

  • Quit crucifying the vegetables! Don't you carrot all?

I say lettuce begin to seek peas.

Now I mean it or I shall have to beet you!

    Signed a sadly un-submissive carnivore.

  • crucifying vegetables?

what are you trying to say?

i can smell the dead fish from here...

each to their liking, you like that smell, i personally don't, but then i'm a lady and smells like that tend to hang around in places i'd rather they didn't...

but yes, each to their taste!!

i don't expect a carnivore to be anything other than un-submissive, it's your way to smell blood and fight for it, whatever, like draws to like... good to know you love you.

  • yes it is in fact a marine snail. there are strict rules on the sport harvesting of abalone in the US so that they do not become an endangered species. my dad dives for abalone off the northern coast of california, and i never thought of it as the rich man's delicacy because my family was never rich. diving and camping is a hobby/pasttime and very normal to us. see wikipedia dot org for more detailed info on abalone

  • Mr karki , this is A Rich man food , we Are working class citizen we cant eat such things

  • eco-logic

  • obaidkarki whats up ?

  • wow realy? thats strange because of the fact that they are sea creatures.
