This movie was incredible; the acting from both of them was just superb. However, I will never, never watch it again. The idea of being trapped in some horrid suburban lifestyle has always been a sensitive issue with me and because their acting was so convincing, I was depressed for days afterward.

On a lighter note, Kate is so right about Leo's face! Haha :P

@joystixxify it think that is the broader point ironically. Sam Mendes, as he did with American Beauty, often strives to put middle America, contemporary life under a microscope. The boredom and spiritual death described in the screenplay came across through the actors storytelling. To me, this means that they did their job.

Both Kate and Leo are amazing actors. Both so talented. After I first saw Leo in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "This Boy's Life" I was sold. I've long been a fan of Kate's -- since Heavenly Creatures and Sense and Sensibility. When Kate and Leo act together it is like a dream come true for me as a movie viewer. True. The other problem with the Oscars is that it's winners are selected by the ACADEMY and that's the whole point. There has to be and incredible bias in the academy and whomever is calling the shots, has not been interested in him winning.
