  • This by far is the best dharmma talk i have ever heard. This partial glimpse of enlightenment is like begining of the path to true liberation. It is true, that is only scratches the surface of buddhism but provides great inspiration for those who seek to find true liberation from this world of "problematic" suffering. sadhu sadhu sadhu.

  • sadhu means respect to the good thing ^_^

  • Everyone sounded so depressed saying sadhu sadhu sadhu at the end.

  • Certainly better by the end. What does that mean? Very good.

  • Role of Morgan Freeman in" Bucket list " movie is compassion.

  • Couldn't have got the grasp of budhism yet.

  • @champion1098 it would be the Teaching of the Buddha: 'This is suffering. This is the end of suffering.' Understand that and you understand the heart. See that and you see the heart.

  • Thank you

  • Buddha's teachings are just that, teachings to be reflected upon. It is based on understanding and wisdom; developing wisdom comes with true understanding. One basic theme in his teaching is learning to let go of attachments-those that causes suffering to oneself and others. Every human being has attachments; this is one connection in humanity. Another theme is to avoid wrong views-i.e., expecting no diversity in a diverse World. These concepts are just scratches on the surface of "Buddhism".

  • 20000 acts of compassion ..that is the goal for me.

  • Sorry to post this on this video. Why do some muslim people have serious issues with Budhists. Whenever I look at videos on youtube like this I see at least a few comments from Muslim people gettin their mad on haha :)

I mean why all the anger when not provoked at all. But in the words of the Buddha

"Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned."

  • THIS UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (United Nation)

    Article 18.

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance

  • A Muslim's negative thought for anything outside his world again.

  • I agree. There is much more dignity in developing hatred for those who believe in anything different from us, strapping a bomb on our bodies and blowing ourselves up. You go first.

  • Weird to see and hear a non-Thai monk...

  • whats the name of the monk who is in the start of the vid, the british guy?

  • Venerable Ajahm Brahm'.

    /Allan Chemnitz

  • I love these videos

  • i wish that everyone could hear and understand this beautiful teaching. (as an aside, i see many videos about islam with buddhist tags.i hope some of those folks wander over here.)

  • The story about the python was extremely relevant to my current experiences, I would like to thank you, it made a few things seem a bit more clear.

  • hi amila89,

You may find similar talks at the 'Buddhist Society of Western Australia' (BSWA) Web site.

  • This is genuine Buddhism. There is nothing said that is impractical and there is nothing said that is "out of reach". Plus the monk translates the 1st Noble Truth correctly. Life is problematic, it has challenges to be earnestly and joyfully overcome.

1st Noble Truth, Buddha said: "There is dukkha". Dukkha translates as "difficulties" and not "suffering". The difference is subtle and important for practicality. Be free. Get enlightened from the ground floor. Do not look too high.

  • Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu! The dhamma is the highest beauty of them all, enduring the test of time.

  • can you please post more videos!!!

  • brilliant! thank you.
