I think what I am saying, is that when our leaders vote according to the latest poll, not by their principles, that is when we have a problem. The leaders are too interested in protecting their job. To set the records right, this 36 sec clip was the only point of disruptive behaviour that occured that afternoon. As I've said before, we truely did want to respect the family picnic and event that was going on at the same time. We only become disruptive when it was at all possible to isolate the behavior from the picnic, and after Levin left, we left as well. It would have been nice if Levin followed the lead of Sak, and came over for a bit before taking off.

I don't get this. You expect a US senator who's trying to enjoy his walk (probably thinking something over) is going to walk over to a mob of drunk republicans who are just going to talk over everything he says? And the Pledge of Allegiance? What the fuck, was that supposed to make him stop?

He was at the picnic talking with the local democratic party. We quitely awaited him to talk to us as well, since we were there and all. As for the Pledge, we could've done the constitution or declaration, but it would've taken too long. And as for "drunk", theoretically, it was the Democratic Picnic that was referred to by their own ppl as a "Dogs 'n Suds" party. No food or drink was consumed by the 50 tea partiers while waiting.
