  • @a7xdude87 Yeah, that ignorant conservative outlook is a bitch; so, how about us Americans?

  • Can't stand american audiences. Such laugh whores, they don't even wait for the damn punchline =\

  • @a7xdude87

Yes... it must be because they're AMERICAN not because they find the guy funny.

    For fucks sake...

  • @sciences8 Yeah he is funny. Doesn't change the fact that Americans just laugh for the sake of laughter. They clap at at almost every filler joke, laugh at the set-ups of jokes which have no connotations of humour and they laugh like it's going out of fashion. How can you have a sense of humour, if you can't differentiate between a joke and the set-up of a joke? A good joke, or a mediocre one.

  • @a7xdude87

I've been in audiences with Swiss, Finish, Swedish, German, French and English peoples before (this was in Germany) and people reacted just the same. It's not an American thing.

  • @sciences8 I've seen stand-ups in many countries. I've seen debate shows in a few countries. No audience is more annoying and more desperate to get themselves heard. Have you ever seen Real Time With Bill Maher? Even Bill gets pissed off with them for not knowing when to STFU.

  • @a7xdude87

Bill Maher's a complete moron. The greatest thing to come out of his mouth was when he denied the 9/11 conspiracies. Other than that, he's a retarded ultra-liberal.

And if you watch QI or Would you Lie to Me, the audiences laugh at every setup as well. Jimmy Carr performances are the exact same thing.

It really isn't an American thing, as much as you would like it to be. Americans can be loud and obnoxious, but so can every other country- we just get more attention.

  • @sciences8 Some set-ups are humerous in themselves. Jimmy Carr stand up isn't that great tbh. Are you a republican then, just out of curiosity? If Maher is retarded, when he actually has intellect, common sense, a decent grasp of wit and a liberal outlook on life as opposed to an ignorant conservative outlook, what does that make Bill O'Reilly? Ultra-retarded?

  • @a7xdude87

Bill O'Reilly is ultra retarded. I'm a very moderate Republican- the most I enjoy about the Republican party is their economic policy and hatred for socialized healthcare. Everything else I could be swayed either way.

And I don't like Maher because he never lets people talk- like Bill O'Reilly- which is probably why I dislike them both.

And I kinda like Jimmy Carr- his offensive jokes are quite amusing. However, I do seem to be enjoying David Mitchell's comedy the most as of now.

  • @sciences8 There's no such thing as a moderate Republican these days.

  • @Mangina9000

Fuck off. Don't want to hear your shit. You want to be ignorant? Fine. Don't bother me about it.

  • @sciences8 1. Suck my balls, midget. 2. Name one moderate Republican.

  • I one time called a wrong number while attempting to call my cousin in order to wish him a happy birthday...turns out, some kid with the same name lived there...boy, was confused.

  • i love that first line

  • Funniest man alive..

  • This man is a genius!

  • I don't understand why some people don't find him funny. He's like the ultimate straight man. No emotion whatsoever. Lol.

  • Did he always have a migraine or was he just high or he just talked like that?

  • @dakotamanomgwtf That's his "thing." His deadpan delivery of completely ridiculous statements is pretty much entirely what makes him funny.

  • @hisdudenessxiv Yes I see

  • Come here stay...my Japanese teacher uses that one

  • What's great is there's absolutely nothing dated about his material. It's over 25 years later and it's all still hilarious.

  • 1:18 Zach Galifianakis?

  • This guy is hilarious, why isn't he more famed? Or was he actually big at one point in his career and I'm just too young to know?

  • @emmanuez88

: Thats Exacly why (: my dad had to show me him !

  • @emmanuez88 In the late Eighties, he was the highest-paid standup in the World, for a while (although his fame was pretty much limited to America, where YOU live - and Britain, where I USED to live).

He is still around - but he wrote himself out and now lives on past glories.

Sad - but this is him when he was at his HEIGHT.

  • @morpheusatloppers

not really, watched his last dvd, hilarious, a huge crowd, plus his in the movies from time to time

  • @morpheusatloppers Yeah, that's the bad part about how he does stand up... Comedians today use events that happened in their daily lives, and take up nearly their entire time on, say, 3 stories? While he has about 40 jokes per 10 min, so it's hard to get new material.

  • @morpheusatloppers Actually, I saw him in Vegas about 3 years ago. Just as good as ever. I think he has hit the level of perennial favorite, with his own, very large following. Look at the number of views of this video alone. Don't feel sad for him. I think he's where he wants to be.

  • @morpheusatloppers what do you mean he "wrote himself out"?

  • @morpheusatloppers Disagree that he has "written himself out." When the Leaves Blow Away was only 5 years ago and was an excellent special. It's just hard to write his kind of comedy, as it isn't topical or observational in the same way Louis CK's is. He never works the crowd or even reacts to the crowd, which is something a lot of comedians do to pad their time. It's one hit after the next. Really hard to do.

  • @emmanuez88 He just never got around to doing new material, really. He put out new stuff something like TWENTY YEARS after his first special. I think his onstage personality makes it clear he's a bit of a recluse.

  • @emmanuez88 As said above he was "big" in the 80's. While he didn't make a fortune like Seinfeld he is one of the most beloved and respected comedians in America even to this day and continues making great material.

  • Skydiving horizontally? That must have been scary for Steven since he's afraid of widths. :D

  • what special is this?

  • (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

  • I like to reminisce with people I don't know LOL

  • brilliant!

  • How can he call his friend if his phone has no 5 on it? Maybe the replica phone did.

  • east german shepherd hahaha!

  • I was an only child, eventually. xD

  • 55 miles an hour......brilliant

  • I loved the "wooden legs real feet" bit! I loved this guy in movies like So I Married An Axe Murderer and stuff.

  • @HalfDeadFatGuy0 that is his style, notice how sometimes it appears that he is hiding his face out of shame, but in reality he's desperately trying to keep from laughing, so he has to hide his smirk

  • I just got out of the hospital, I was in a speed-reading accident !!!

  • Haha...."hey is joey there?" "yes he is" "can I talk to him?" "no he cant talk right now he's only 2 months old.." "okay I'll wait" :DDD so great

  • He's so damn good, how does he remember all those one liners?!

  • 'went to the Drive In in a cab"

  • "do I know you?"

    haha love you

  • I just don't find him funny. : /

  • @thechosen2010 <<<<BOOOOO BOOOOOO BOOOOo Boo this man I say!

  • @thechosen2010 i think i can see why but i have to dissagree man

  • Brilliant.

  • It's funny how the further through the videos you go, the less views, people gave up on Steven Wright :( haha

  • LOL i actually fell off my chair @ the cinema and barbeque joke

  • lmao but is he crazy lol i dont care i still love him

  • Steven Wright always puts me in a good mood.

  • The John McEnroe of Comedy! All Hail!

  • My daughters hamster just died in a terrible accident !

He fell asleep at the wheel

  • I called my dog Rolex

    Hes a watch dog lol

  • I downloaded the audio for this, I listen to it every day. Never get tired of it, still havent stopped laughing.

  • @pattisgirls - I hope you got all five bits - it's comedy gold.

You CAN download YouTube VIDEOS. It's trickier now than it used to be. Just Google "Orbit" and follow the instructions. You'll need to "repair" it from time to time - but it works, it's benign - and it's FREE!

  • @morpheusatloppers - that OR u can go to listen to you tube . com (w/o spaces)

  • @morpheusatloppers You can also use a site called keepvid.com. I've never had any problems.

  • @pattisgirls how do you download audio

  • @ROSHSK88 - the easiest way is connect a lead between the headphone socket of your computer and the mic input of your recorder. Watch the output level on your computer!

  • @morpheusatloppers There are also websites that download youtube audio.

  • @morpheusatloppers There is a site called YouTubeToMP3 where you can directly download the audio as an MP3 file. Alternatively, you can download the video from KeepVid and use AoA Audio Extractor which you can get for free.

  • @morpheusatloppers I would not recommend doing that, I know this is an old comment but that is a dangerous idea. Just get a free recording program like goldwave/audacity and set it to record 'wave' or, if using a creative sound card 'WhatUHear'. No need to loop your connections, the pc can do that in software terms.

  • @7th75thCallaghan - Fair comment. I take BACK my earlier recommendation (made with good intent). For myself, I would download the whole THING (using a free download programme - I use Orbit, but I'm sure your recommmendations work also) and feed it through "Any Video Converter" (free also - just Google and install it) and convert it to a CD (or DVD).

I have connected my computer direct to my A/V system before, no probs - but I accept that with SOME equipment, the result COULD be DISASTROUS!!

  • @morpheusatloppers Firefox, downloadhelper extension. Makes life so easy.

  • @morpheusatloppers Or you could just download freecorder. It's literally the easiest program I've ever used to download audio.

  • @morpheusatloppers I don't mean to burst your bubble but if you have Firefox then you can download a free YouTube converter app. It allows you to convert videos into mp3s for the audio or mp4s for the video itself and it too is free and VERY easy to use. I'm sure your methods work too but the Firefox app seems to be the simplest method I've come across.

  • @darknight10000 I have Firefox as my backup browser, but use Windows (when it works) thus I have to use the Orbit system. Anyhay, I'm used to it now.

Hey - this is supposed to be about STEPHEN WRIGHT!!!

  • @morpheusatloppers Well just letting you know. If you're interested you can get it under the app section of Mozilla's site. Just type in youtube or video.

  • @ROSHSK88 I would use Free Studio. You can download directly from Youtube to Mp3.

  • @ROSHSK88

    You can use vidtomp3.

  • i eard of this guy b4 on a comedy top 100 stand up things and i thought he was pretty funny but he summin else. hes the only person who does one liner after one liner wot a legend

  • Billy Connolly recommended Steven Wright on one of his dvds. Billy doubled-over laughing as he recalled one of Stevens jokes. After watching this (so far) I can understand why! Thanks for uploading!
