  • I have a corm about 5in round and I was wondering how to tell if it is going to bloom this year? I ordered it from a nursery and they said it was at blooming age but didn't bloom and should this year. Afer the stalk died, I brought it indoors and dug it up to seperate the offshoots. I see a pink stem/stalk about the size of the tip of my index finger. Whats the difference between a blooming stem and a leaf stalk? Any help would be nice. TY!

  • @ginko27 Yes, it IS blooming age, but it isn't always easy to tell the difference between a leaf stalk and a flower bud until it starts growing out. If what you see starts growing up in the next two months, it could be a flower. Once it starts, it will go fairly rapidly. If it doesn't do anything until May, it's a leaf stalk.

  • my biggest tuber has died back and it weighs 10 pounds.
