Would you reccomend Mississippi Map Turtles for begginer Turtle owners? It will be my first turtle, although i took care of my cousin's snapping turtles a couple times while he was on vacation. I <3 pets, i have alot of them but i really like mississippi map turtles. Please answer back.. love your videos, they help alot. Keep making great videos! :)

Whats the name of the filter you have? My little musk seems to like bashing it off its hinges! My filter is only a small one and is only a temp until I can afford to up grade to a bigger better one on my next pay day!

I like that you have fish in there too! I have a fully grown female common musk and a fully grown male yellow bellied slider, I've recently just adopted! I'm not sure if I was to put fish in that they would become a snack??

hi there, looks like you have a really nice set up, i have two mississippi map turtles and i was thinking about putting some fish in with them, i see you have fish as well, do your turtles eat them or generally just leave them alone?

@stujarvis13 ~ My fish are on the menu and I am sure they will be eaten at some point. However, they are just cheap goldfish that I paid less than $0.20 for, so it's not a problem or concern. For now they do add color and activity, plus round out my tank environment. Goldfish are also the easiest fish to care for and very hearty, so they are simple addition and the turtles benefit from eating some of their food flakes too.

@redo7706 ~ I purchased my Eastern Painted Hybrid Turtle from a local breeder. I also have gone to a reptile show and purchased my Hieroglyphic River Cooter and Mississippi Map turtles there from breeders who live in my area.  You can view my video "Buying More Turtles at the Reptile Show" which was made while I was at the show buying them.

@turtlesbest -- Most of my videos have audio. However, sometimes I think it's just as fun to quietly watch my turtles swim, bask and play without any noise. I like to turm off all my room lights and just watch them, so I have recorded a few videos doing just that, quietly sitting and watching them be themselves. I think it's cool.

@madturtlefan -- Leave the room so your turtle can get more comfortable in her new world. After about and hour I bet if you peek in the room you will find your turtle basking.
