How to fix frozen ipod or ipod with water damage

I just wanted to say that this works great! :D

I had mine laying close to the sink, and someone spilled water there, so it lay wet for hours. I then googled here, and put it in rice. I let it lay there for about 2 days I think, and it worked awesome again!

And... The only reason I am back here now (10-11 months later) is because it took a few rounds in the washing machine. I hope it works this time too! :)

My ipod went in washer LAST YEAR and today i was bored so i got it and charged it then pushed menu and center button for a minute and in a dark screen it showed the apple sign and then a checkmark with words below i couldnt read so can apple still fix it???? i tried rice and it didnt work (in beggining)

My son cleaned his ipod touch with a soaking wet paper towel, then tried to turn it on. It never worked again. It has been sitting in my drawer for about 5 months. Would the rice still work for this or is it too late. Can this ipod touch still be reapired? thanks,

thank you very much, I appreciate that you took your time to help people like me , and get the ipod working. is just great and working!! the only thing is that i can still see spots of water on the screen! hahaha it looks wet, but i dont know if taking the risk and open it to dry it, or just leave it like that and wait for the water to dry out by it self..... what do you think it would be the best option?? thank you....ps... @marie19271 ur welcome. u should probably put it again in rice and wait for it to dry out. if it doesnt dry completely i suggest u dont open it, but its up to you if you want to open it or not. and merry christmas to u too :)

hey we have exactly the same ipod! too bad i got mine wet the other day because it was raining so hard i forgot that my ipod was inside the outer pocket of my bag and presto it got wet! hope this will work i really love my ipod and it would break my heart if i would have to go to apple center to get if fixed!

ya the bag of ice will dry it out but the ipod will still not work..... i dropped my ipod touch in the toilet by accident lol but it turns on bt the touch dont work.... it pissed me off so bad!!!!

@tankludes14 a way you might be able to fix the touch screen is get a quetip and dip in nail polish romover and rube it on the screen and it should work
