I think it was from one of the movies. They often have scenes not from the episodes that make them interesting i.e. the series never shows Lisa with her clarinet but one of the movies does.

actually i think there was an episode herd bound where she was suppose to practice her clarinet and she was. and another where she was playing it loudly and terribly on purpose to annoy her mother. but actually that could have been a movie
