And that is what was missing from Pagan Altar. They are melancolic, but they didn't give the "doomed" feeling like Trouble songs. I still like the band, but it doesn't feel doom metal to me.

I dunno why they call it doom metal. It's more like pagan metal or something. They sing about witches and sorcerers, their music is pretty much celtic-oriented. Not that I shall know what defines the genres, but where's doom in this?

Yes, my comment meant to imply that my knowledge about doom metal could be insufficient, so instead of telling me what I already know or reasoning like the other guy ("This IS doom metal") you might could enlighten me.

I might only see this way, because I started to look up doom metal bands after I had listened to Trouble, which sounded very doomed indeed. Their lyrics were melancolic and often very bleak, sometimes the guy seemed to be crying like a pansy emo, but it was still heavy metal.
