in 2010, BBC America, borrowed the Christmas 2007 Penguins ident, which said Merry Christmas, and BBC America HD, instead of saying BBC America, or BBC One.

Because this was going into a networked programme, regional names only appear before Regional programmes.

Its a good Christmas Ident, but there are a few glitches with it. Like on 0:21 a woman is spinning near the left-hand side of the screen, then a penguin goes straight through her.

The penguin is on it's stomach actually sliding along the floor avoiding the spinning girl's leg. ;o)
