  • A friend of mine, Dave Lindsey wrote this song, but Tammera wouldn't record this unless he allowed her name on it as coauthor, that is what you had to deal with, and Jack Simpson and I here in Hoopeston, IL say hi Dave.

  • @drmoutebank O M G, I used to live in Hoopeston, IL. SWEET CORN CAPITOL OF THE WORLD !! Small town, I had to leave and go to the big city.. I have family in Danville, Paxton and my dad lives in Boswell, IN. I also used to live in Ambia, IN.... Still loving GEORGE JONES and this song !!!

  • Country at its best!

  • Yes ..this as Country as it gets! and this is from a city kid.. who apparently knows and loves Country Music!

  • This is real country music!! :)

  • There is nothing better than the old country music of the 70's and 80's. I loved Tammy & George and Conway & Loretta. I got the chance to see Conway & Loretta in concert and it was fantastic!! It is ashamed that the country music of today is nothing like it used to be. Most of it is more like rock music.

  • Oh I love that kiss at the end and I love how Tammy initiates it.

  • them and conway and loretta

  • WOW!!! This has got tobe the best duet couple EVER!!!!!! Thanks for having on youtube!!!!

  • It's too bad that they couldn't make it together but they really cared about each other ...its written all over their face

  • So great, so nice, so sweet... Love them both!

  • I am 54 I started listening to rock on FM when everybody was still listening to am circa 1968 . I was turned on to Country when it was real when I was around 17 because where I worked the Ga cracker women turned off the rock and roll saying we can`t listen to this garbage. Man this is good stuff !

  • All of the Country music "wannabe's" need to study this tape and try to put as much heart in their songs as there is in this one.

  • How Sweet, it brings tears to my eyes. These two are simply amazing. Barb.

  • As a Nashville Songwriter myself, this is a real DUET.

  • This was an HBO special in the early 80's when Tammy had something to do with his management.

  • have you got more of this show i would love ti see it ,i love them together so thank you for posting it ,love the on there own to RIP tammy....

  • Tammy's Brother in law Paul was Jones' manager at this time and Tammy helped Jones to revive his career by recording the album "Together Again" which had this song on it :)

  • Yes Conway and Loretta Hell yeah theese two are my fave couple!

  • wakekick,

it's a HBO special of George Jones and friends, back in the early 80's I think, out in California.

  • George & Tammy are THE greatest country duo in country music. (no offence to Conway & Loretta)

  • what tv show or episode did this come from? and the one of him and georgette singing daddy come home?

  • It don't get much better than this, Mr. and Mrs. Country Music doing one of their GREAT Duets!!!

  • How TRUE it is!

  • Excellent!!! 5 *

  • Great Post. Thank you very much for sharing this is terrific.

  • You so can see they are still attracted to each other!!! great vid x

  • Excellent!!! 5 *

  • amazing....

  • Very good thanks!!

  • GREAT :) Do u have the part where Georgette sings with him and then Tammy tells about the night she was born ?

  • Yeah I do, but I have him and Georgette singing on here, if you haven't already watched.

  • i've liked this song, too...i first heard it on George's 1994 box set THE ESSENTIAL GEORGE JONES. I've liked "Golden Ring" as well...but up until i heard "Two Story House" my favorite duet they did was "We Loved It Away" and next to that was "Southern California".

  • The very best classic country, the king and queen of country music together. I love it!!

  • Great performance, thx for posting. 5*****
