Hey i got this app and it worked good for a while but then the theme changed on its and i couldnt bring the other theme back i unistalled and but still, i dont know how, i have the keyboard and i dont like it please help me

I downloaded the trial version and loved it so when my trial period ended I downloaded the full version, but it didn't ask me to enter any payment details so I can't use it. I don't know how to activate it now. Please help.

@alphakry yeah once you get the hand of it you can type 2 long phrases in around 4-6 second.

This keyboard is great, The ONLY advantage Swype has over it is, is the ability to recognize more mis-sywped or mis- slided words. Because of this, you can't Slide as fast as you can Swype. You have to pay more attention to what your putting on the page with SlideIT because if you try going as fast as you can like you could on Swype, you WILL make a lot of mistakes for sure. Especially since it often places suggested words you wanted to spell 2nd or third choice in and sometimes not at all.

I've been using speech to text allot and it's surprisingly accurate if you talk clearly. seldom type unless it's a long message.

Also if you check the "auto space on tapping" in the settings, it will space single letter words like i and a. You may have to delete the lower case "i" from your dictionary so that "I" shows up every time. I'm posting all this stuff because I was so frustrated at first with this thing after having Swype on my Craptivate. But I'm liking it a lot now so wanted to keep others from experiencing my hangups.

@TheFashizy ... You can delete your comments from earlier, where you badmouth this product, apparently because you did not know what you were doing. You were used to Swype and jumped the gun on saying this is a lousy product.

I have used Swype since March 2010. I loaded this program today I find it great. I am using it on my T-Mobile HD2 on which I loaded Android 2.2 (FroYo), replacing WinMo 6.5 The Android ROM did not have Swype so this app was a lifesaver for this Swype user.

@HeartInSanFrancisco SlideIt will get there though and one day you'll probably be able to slide really fast without worrying about it putting so many wrong words that you have to tap to replace. It's still an excellent product and is much better than typing regularly.

You can't spell "iPhone" or "McDonalds" when you slide, meaning it won't put a cap on the P or the D, but if you type in the word iPhone with the cap P, and add it to the dic, it'll spell it right from then on. Do this by placing the keyboard into ABC mode.

Also this is great if you want to add words like "They'll' or a full email address or the like. You just type out the word, place the cursor anywhere in-between that word's letters and you tap the plus+ symbol to add "they'll' or any word like that (or an email or website) to your dictionary.Ok- I'm not hating this so much now.

UPDATE: I did find out that in order to delete words that you hate popping up you have to place the cursor inside the middle of the word.Then the minus sign will show, then you press the minus sign and the word is deleted from the dictionary. So the next time you typ "I'm" and "UN" shows up, place the cursor between the U and the N. The minus symbol shows to the left. Press it an the word UN is gone forever! Yay! Do this for any word you want removed. (like "tge")

I think this is a good alternative to Swype, but not a swype replacement.

It does the same thing. But I think swype is more polished and overall a better experience.

SlideIT is great if you've got an unsupported phone though.

@gumdrops27 i paid for slideIT today because it is much faster than swype on my HTC desire (android) also swype uses a fucking 9-12MB! Thats just a No go for me, slideIT uses around 1MB only. Paid 4 EUR, and its worth it.

One annoying feature of this keyboard is that it will automatically space even though you uncheck "Automatic Space" in the options. Horrible when I'm trying to type a website.

Since I can't get Swype, I got SlideIt and I like it. I think it's just as good. I prefer Swype's interface a little bit better but the functionality is about the same.

I got the SlideIT demo for Android and I absolutely love it. But there is no markedplace for paid apps in Norway, so I'm unable to buy the app even though I really want to, and it's not possible to buy it from Dasur's website, they only have a link to the Android Marked.

Dasur just refreshed the demo period a while ago, but I'm dreading the day it'll be taken away from me again. :(

@tommym1231 ahh To fix that, go to your regular texting. When the keyboard opens, press and HOLD the empty space where you type in. It should say INPUT method, switch to SLIDEIT.
