Raf Simons does an awesome job at Jil Sander. He's brought life to her label. Sorry, but this show was amazing!!! The shapes were awesome!!!! Not his best, but I love it!!!
didnt like it alot plus alot of the designers are puting shorts and see threw cloths i though gareth pughs 2010 spring show was the best sry raf try better for next season i love it when he does coats very struchered
this collection is very cluttered, too busy, too 'all over the place'...i don't see any of the usual ultra clean calmness in the pieces. some of the dresses looked like destroyed bin bags. jil sander must be shaking her fist...lol
jil sander s/s 09 was my absolute favorite showing. employing deconstruction techniques to otherwise very clean and classic pieces works brilliantly, but the busyness, as you've noted, is a result of applying these techniques to more delicate fabrics. so, i agree. still pieces like 0:12, in which wispier transparent fabrics are employed, are at once whimsical and demure and in keeping with the brand's whimsical and contemporary but very chic and polished last few seasons.
i agree, the s/s 09 was very, very special and extremely beautiful (especially when that classical piece of music kicked in) - and it remained calm, clean and very sleek (and much sexier than any of his previous collections) and true to the label itself. but this collection (s/s10) was an empty experience.
I like the collection, hate the hair styling for the show.
