Crown & Anchor is a terrible example of a pub, with arrogant bar staff, sticky carpet and filthy toilets, although you are right about the emptyness of pubs since the smoking ban became law. I don't go to pubs anymore, as im fed up with being treated like a leper because i like a smoke.
