This kind of people are a shame for my country. God created them man or women.... we are a poor country but we have fear to God (sorry for my english, this is en spanish: Esta clase de personas es una verguaneza para mi país.
I am Peruvian and It is such a shame to see comments like these... Vive y deja vivir. ... Live and let others live!!
The LGBT activists in Peru were not trying to kiss in front of the catholic Cathedral of Lima, they were pushed and chased by the Police (a special assault squad) from the original place of the protest (in front of the City Hall). According to the LGBT activists, every 5 days a lesbian, gay or transgender is KILLED in Peru, and no one seems to care. I have posted an interview to the victims in my blog Peruanista.
They tried to do the "flash mob" in a forbiden place (espacio rigido segun la alcaldesa de Lima). This even happened before in Lima with no problem (why it should be a problem?) what is was the problem now? They needed to be in the news and they decided to do it in a place where they knew the police was going to come. So please tel the truth, the complete truth.
Oh man, can't believe this. I'm from Peru, guys, don't let this video deceive you by using an argument such us: "the police is bad and homophobic". Perhaps these guys forgot to say that they were doing their little show in front of the Government Palace (the equivalent of the White House), which is a forbbiden zone to do any kind of disturbance for obvious reasons. I was there when this happened (I work close by) and it was them, not the cops, who start provoking them.
@srcl333 , if that is true, then you'll need to provide evidence. If there's a forbidden zone, then it seems a reasonable place for forbidden couples to protest. From what we know of police forces no matter where they are, it is far more likely that they abused their power.
@srcl333 Really? Even the protesters who were inside the Cafe/Shop? What about the reporter being pushed away? Come on! If you were near, why don't you post a video or a photo of the event showing the protesters were the ones provoking as you say? In any democratic country people are allowed to protest on the streets and the reporters won't be pushed away! Sorry, but this clearly show how backwards the police in your country is.
@srcl333 Dont lie man, we are seeing what those bunch of bastards are doing! Pushing that poor girl who was standing at the upstairs?..Im straight but i see a clear abuse but im not surprised..Í´ve been in Peru and i know that place..You know people? Only some blocks of the Main Square, the whores and the shoplifters stand in the streets. And nobody say nothing about it. Instead of it, that people is blessed by these society...the most homophobic in the whole world!

I guess there must not be any REAL crime in Peru, since the cops have the time and resources to spare on something like this.

@IanDavidOnDU Obviously, it is the police committing the crime here.
