i just got a quadphase,it is makeing a horrible high pitch squeel when i turn it on,this is no good for weddings or any gig,the high pitch squeel will hurt peoples ears between songs or when ever the music is turned down,Do all these lights make this sound or just mine, PLEASE HELP,$600 aussie dollars,for quality but get garbage.

@1975immortal - The UC3 is a great easy-to-use controller for On/Off, switching internal programs etc. If you are looking into programming multiple lights using DMX then check out the Elation Magic 260 sold by American DJ.

are you able to choose one colour at a time? So say I just want to have the light produce white for the whole song. Is this possible? If not, what lighting to ADJ have that will produce a few colours but has a colour choice? Oh and do i absolutely need the controller or can i just use two of them with the on board controls?

@1975immortal - The only way to keep one colour on a time is to use a DMX Controller in DMX mode.

@jonpaulevans Well, actully I dont have this unit, although, it looks great on all of the videos I have seen. If I were you, I would somehow test drive it at some lighting/audio store.

Gorgeous looking light, but I notice the LEDs are only rated for 30,000 hours (vs 50,000 on the Tri Phase.) Obviously no one is going to be running this unit for 30K hours, but the rated lifetime is a good indication of how long a light will maintain its brightness (since LEDs fade over time.) How long is the warranty on the Quad Phase? 1 year? 3 years?

well i love my tri-phase their outstanding lights.....but im not quite sure what to think about a few extra windows and one extra color. I suppose i like the addition of light colors thanks to the white but still. Does this offer any more dmx options? I guess will c...... won't we? :D
