Ug you had to ask LOL We went all the way up to Richmond, BC for only FIVE cats in our class. Penny was SO stressed all day - hissing, growling. Mocha got Best in 4 of the 5 rings but with so few cats it didn't do much for her in the Int'l Standings. And the next day there was only going to be FOUR cats. Since I wanted to pull Penny that would have left three cats. So I packed up and headed home Sat night and didn't go back up Sun.
EXACTLY! Mocha's the only one who's never done anything but purr and headbutt the judges. The other two are kinda off and on with whether they want to be there or not. I'm just going to retire Penny and Percy. I may bring them along occasionally as "Exhibit Only" as I like spectators to see the types of cats you can find at shelters. Too many people think shelter cats are all scruffy and unsociable.
i wish i could show my girl, she was a rescue and shes absolutely the most beautiful cat ive ever seen (and im not just saying this becouse shes mine lol) shes medium hair and shes all white w/ bright green eyes i wuvs her beauty ;p
I don't travel that much. Just up to BC and I did go up to Edmonton for the Regionals. The FL show was only because that was the Annual and Mocha was getting an award. You can compete just with local shows. I wish I could afford to go to more out of the area shows. Mocha's currently 7th Internationally. All the cats above her have done nearly twice the amount of shows she has plus higher count shows which yield more points. Google TICA Calendar and you'll see when a show will be by you
Oh and by the way - I'm only an hour and a half from BC so for the last couple of shows I didn't even stay overnight - just drove back so I could give Roxy ferret her meds and let Jake dog out.
Yeah but as you can see they are VERY distracting LOL I think my favourite is when I'm talking all serious with a client about some tax issue and Jake starts barking at me to go outside LOL

I can see where laying around being fawned over is better than going to a show and strangers messing with them.

One of my first cats - Todd - was solid white with bright green eyes :)! Love that combination.
