  • This is the trailer...where is the tv spot?

  • Fuck Hollywood. This one happens to be one of the best grindhouse joints ever.

  • this movie is already on dvd

  • a troma classic

  • Any word/update on the release yet? From what I heard, the reason for the delay is because the special features were still in production.

  • I live for this film!

  • Very scary

  • See the new Mother's Day. Totally different & a TRIP!

  • sexy

  • Can't wait for the Blu-Ray :D

  • Seen this when it came out in the theaters. When the dude in the car got his head chopped off, I was the only one in the theater laughing my ass off, due to smoking some heavy weed.

  • I love these kind of cheep/cheesy horror flicks, made between 1973-4 to the early 80's. I love watching them after dark, on chilly autumn evenings (near Halloween). I like to play some Atari before watching, & make some Jiffy Pop to eat during the movies. Gives everything a total retro feel. :-)

  • @gjc82071

Would you compare this to modern torture horror like Hostel or Saw?

  • Not to be a dick/sarcastic, etc......but "I" wouldn't & or couldn't compare it to ANYthing, because I've never seen the movie "Mother's Day (1980)" But if I had to take a guess, I would say no. Hostel/Saw (1st parts only) are excellent movies. Now, IMO ( & this is neither a good or bad thing) modern horror films are very different to vintage/classic horror films. If you showed Hostel in 1955 to a packed theater, I honestly believe you'd cause psychological damage to @ least some people. LOL!

  • @gjc82071 That's what made these movies so sensational. This movie depicts events that can truly happen, which makes it all that much more real. Just like Wolf Creek.

  • @corwin11412 Yea, that's true. Personally, with the exception of maybe Hostel, Saw & a few others, I am not into post 90's horror/slasher flicks. I prefer movies made in the 1970's-mid 80's. Sometimes I get a hankering for the bad acting/special FX, gore & just all out cheap cheesiness of those movies. Maybe it's more of a nostalgia thing. I don't know. Carrie, The Fog, Prom Night, I spit on your grave, Rosemary's Baby, though some of those aren't "cheap/cheese", but you know what I mean.

  • I'm still wondering, from where the Brother of Adley got the Police Car and the Uniform...

It seemed to be, that the Salesman in the Store did know, what happened in the woods of Deep Baron. And he looked also a little bit crazy.

It's bad, that the Soundtrack never was available until today.

I like the Ending with the "beautiful" Queenie, coming out of the Bushes :-)

    Watch also the older Movies

    "Grandmothers House"

    "The Curse"

    "Motel Hell"

    "Tourist Trap"

  • why did the mom have the neck cast and who was quincy ?

  • @zymmyiscool queenie was the mother's sister, the boys aunt who is cannibalistic, which is why she doesn't live with them. the neck cast i have no idea

  • what a nice old lady indeed

  • in the trailer it looks like the sons rape victims ! aswell as torture and kidnap , i thought people reckoned this was betta than the remake wen this original trailer looks more damn stupid than the remake one !!!!! so i wont be watching either especially not this 1

  • Happy Mothers Day! :DDDD

  • Why can't my mom be more like this?

  • A masterpiece!

  • @shitcastle A Tromasterpiece!

  • One of the very best slasher films ever. Violence, rape, hillbillies, old ladies, suspense, and one of the first of it's kind to feature all five together! Hope there's plenty of Tromatic extras!!!

  • @MordaciousFilms This isn't really a slasher flick. More like a "backwoods perverted muther-fucker" flick ( to quote a line of dialogue ).

  • @Skulldini Trina's comment.lol I lvoe this movie. My mom used to have but some dick stole it. I wish I could find it somewhere.

  • Ok...is Mother's Day going to FINALLY be available in Widescreen? Just asking

  • Way to make mother proud.

  • guy jumping at the end looks like noel fielding

  • @sixpackmonkey that was no guy, that was Queenie!! so can't wait to see the new DVD...if it gets to my neck of the woods where it's been banned for years.

  • The Kaufman Brothers are National Treasures! So is their Mother!

  • Wow you guys made this!? I have had this on my top 10 scary movies forever and didnt know it was a Troma Film!!

Buy this movie people, it is excellant, and it was before its time. Its up there with the Wrong turn Movies and Texas Chainsaw Massacre's

  • The ending rules

  • This is by far my favorite Troma movie... 8D

  • Awesome this is a classic slasher. When I get a dvd player my first blu rays will be Troma flicks. Love all the recent uploads!

  • Great movie, one of my favorite low budget horror movies.

  • is the film ever gonna be re-released on dvd?

  • @niggaman

Of course on Blu-Ray as well this April

  • @Johnlindsey289 didn't notice till now! thanks for the heads up!

  • This movie scared the living crap out of me when i saw it on video as a kid.

  • @TheAltair4

Loved this movie since i was 16 when i rented it from one of the local mom and pop video stores, such a terrific and underrated cult horror gem in the vein of Sleepaway Camp, I Spit on Your Grave and Hills Have Eyes.

  • This mom is cool because she lets her kids draw on the walls.
