  • recording of an recording....

  • Katsumi yamada is my favorite all star from ninja warrior respect him and many other people who have tried it

  • Ninjas dont cry lol

  • Yamada's tears could burn holes in inch-thick sheet iron.

  • Awwww, thats a real shame. He was almost crying. But im not gona lie i would fall on the 1st stage at the begining!

  • Everybody, i really believe that 99% of you cant get past the first stage so shut up.

  • Damn... this is truly one of the saddest parts of ninja warrior ever... :(

  • MANLY TEARS HAVE BEEN SHED

  • his swung was his problem

  • He's so unlucky this guy, remember when he got disqualified for not taking his gloves off in the second round?

  • This was very sad, bit it made me SHIT

  • This guy has lost a lot of things in his life to Ninja Warrior. It's sad.

  • I was crying when i saw that happen

  • Unlucky!! it's heart-wrenching to see these guys fail. usually with this challenge you can tell if they're gonna make it b4 they even let go & he was keeping that bar real steady so you think he'll make it, but........

  • There aren't too many couch potatoes who can do what this man can do. It's a damn shame he didn't get it, but he'll never give up.

  • @cooliox27 you wanna try doing it? no? didnt think you would... its a bloody achievement get the the 4th stage so why are you saying "he aint that great"?

    ... and i want an answer ¬.¬

  • @iComment2k9 He didn't answer did he!! lol. Win or lose these guys are committed!!! Thanks

  • i was so fucking mad just bcause he was a little bit to heavy and the cushions gave god he was gonna win

  • OH MAN THAT SUCKS

  • I don't really think he's that great, he's only gotten to the final stage once, and he's failed the first stage for the past 10 comps

  • hahahahaaa...

  • haha the japaneses show are more fun and worse!

  • Its fucking stupid they put the platform so far after their extremely war out. The first ninja warrior winner only did it because in that season they didn't have the body prop then after it was made...everyone got so wore out and extremely strained on the shoulders and lower back.

I'm not saying Akyama wasn't good but he had an easier course :S

  • yes he had an easier 1-3rd stage but the 4th stage rope climb is the hardest 4th stage ever...and he even did it whit 6seconds left so i think he deserved hes victory ;)

  • @accaunt100 Mr.Ninja warrior never won your thinking of Kazuhik Akiyama

  • @painvideos1420 *facepalm*

  • He landed both his feet on the platform too!

Did they disqualify him for that? I know he hurt his shoulder one the fall, but they should have at least said he passed the 3rd course.

  • @dieallsix about the platform, i read somewhere (wikipedia i think, so it's not much of a concrete source) that an error in design made the pipe slider in those 3rd stages much tougher because they had to undulate themselves to the end and when they had to jump across the big gap, the pipe would slide backwards as they swing. now, with the "final ring" or "pipe jump" i think it's called, in the new third stage, the last rung/few inches of support are slanted downward to prevent this error. :)

  • i watched an episode tonight, quite old ad its on challenge. He didn't complete the first course he just managed to get up the warped wall but he ran out of time, he said he wasn't going to compete again?

  • Yeah, I don't think it was true though.

Most of the stuff the commentator on the translated version are made up.

  • Does anyone know how he got the name Mr. Ninja Warrior. He's never won but everyone knows him by that name. Just curious I still love the guy

  • To answer your question, back in the day he was thought to be one of the best and most likely to complete the course, now maybe nt so, but everyone still respects him and admires his dedication. So he is known as Mr. Ninja Warrior (Mr. Sasuke in Japan)

  • You know i really do feel like he can do it, even though this is like his 22 try he should try, try again. nothing is impossible.

  • That. Fucking. Sucks.

  • i think that Yamada is one of the toughest men on ninja warrior

  • yes and the most sensitive

  • so do i

  • That last jump is brutal. It takes out so many competitors no matter how much they dominated the rest of Stage 3. We still believe in you Mr. Sasuke!!!

  • LOL

  • Flippin eck, what a shame. The prize money is apparently quite big and as only two people have ever completed it, it's a big deal if you manage it. So to dedicate so much time (as the top guys do) and go out like that is a right cunt. I reckon that landing area could be better. Even Nagano just landed on the edge and held on.

  • if u manage to complete it u r like a superstar in japan....

  • @JerkyFraser it 17 if yes no but in 17 nagano landed on his knee so it was easier

  • I feel for him. He's been a great contender the WHOLE time i seen him. He devoted so much time to training for this show. I am sure he won't return. But if he does then i will be full-on screaming at my TV and showing my full support!!

  • hes my fave and all ways will be.

  • He was good in the early series, but as time went on he became worse and worse. He should've quit when he was ahead, instead of continuing to pursue the impossible dream.

  • nah,he's still competing,=)

  • He pwns he's my favorite ninja warrior guy

  • sometime you win sometime you lose, just nature and no body perfect

  • aaaaahhhh that hurt he was sooooooooooooooooooooooo close you need to stay corordinated

  • ya, i do feel sad for him for this fall. he's my fav competitor too

  • the saddest one i saw was when Makoto Nagano landed on that jump and then fell backwards.

  • huh...?

U mean in Sasuke10? That was Yamada... again

  • fuck yea this badass deserves some respect! i praise him! lol

    but yea seriously he's badass

  • bad idea on this vid man bad idea

  • Are you very athletic?

  • FAKE! There's no such thing as assault courses

  • Something's wierd about Yamada. For some reason I think he trains a lot but then fails possibly on purpose just for attention. He was much better in the older tournaments. One reason is because back then they referred to him as "Naninawa Terminator". Then he was referred to as Mr. Sasuke, which might have made him think his ego was more important than winning. He turned his runs into montages, starting with Sasuke 6. The point is, I think he thinks he should fail on purpose for the attention.

  • I think he loses focus and fails.

He was better back then because the course was so damn easy. He's still good now, he just falls all the time.

  • the course easy? wtf ru tlking about? nothing changed besides they added like 5lb wieghts to the side

  • have u sent in a tape?

  • I e-mailed them, but I'm going to mail in a DVD as well.

  • deadlines march dude, get it in quick, early submission is always good

  • Late march, and I'm mailing it priority. It'll be fine.

  • dude, its not late march, since its airing on the 30th

  • They said mid to late March. I'm mailing it tomorrow. Relax.

  • what are you guys talking about? what tape?

  • Oti applied to Sasuke

  • that could be true but i think he trains really hard for the obstacle he last failed on,and then isnt prepared for amything else

  • i feel so bad 4 this guy

  • You know, I was never a fan of Katsumi. Not saying he wasn't skilled or didn't have the heart, I just got into it around the time Nagano was steamrolling through the courses

  • That was one of the most heartbreaking things I ever saw. He has trained his entire career to beat the course but it still is out of his reach. As for him making it, he didn't pass into the second red square before he fell off so he didn't make it. As for him crying.. That shows what a real man he is. Even if you don't see them training think they do, Makoto uses his boat, Shingo uses his workplace and the rest have mock courses at their homes. To them, Ninja Warrior is life, give them respect.

  • @ShadowandFlamePanthe No one gives a crap

  • @iwimp1994 i took the time and curtsy to read his comment and i believe that is a false statement, and i don't see your comment highest rated?

    give some respect.

  • @IMMRTROLLMAN Once again, no one gives a crap.

  • @iwimp1994 no offense but if you dont give a crap, why are you watching this. Most of us do give a crap so keep that to yourself

  • That Was Heartbreaking...=(

  • thats bull he made that

  • Nope.

  • one of the greatest.

  • man youll judge bad things bout others y dont u go try the courses out. youll probably get laughed at

  • i know, i just saw the show where he said that if he did not win he'll quit.... i hope thats not true

  • i know, he quit his job just for NW

  • I watch this show every day. he's one the best ever.

  • @Bleach9291 oh really., what if its not on!!!

  • wow man that sucks just goes to show u if u make just a tiny mistake ur done in that tournament

  • LOL, wow... how horrible. =(

  • he has done 19 tourneys and nvr won the entire event, wish he could win once to accomplish his dreams except year after year training w/ out relaxation

  • Shingo Yamamoto's been in every tournament to date and HE hasn't won either. Such a shame that he made it to the final stage and then dislocated his shoulder..I used to think Katsumi Yamada would win it all eventually, but after some of his pathetic stage 1 attempts, (when he fell OFF the course after completing the Bridge of Blades comes to mind) and THAT fall...well, I just don't believe he can do it anymore. He's over age 40 now and stunningly has very little experience on the 3rd stage.

  • I saw this and I'm sure many of you also saw the one where he got disqualified in the second stage for not taking off his gloves before enting the Spider Walk. He just seems to get the worst luck out of everyone.

  • The poor guy was crying. I wish he could win again.

  • yamada is a jobrone, the trampoline prince is the future.

  • I saw that episode he landed flat on his back on solid ground from six feet in the air OUCH!!

  • dam he should of won is like his dream he been doing ninja warrior for 10 years!! Yamada ur going to make it, wish him the best !!

  • poor guy

  • he needs to improve his lower body his arms and chest etc are good but u need the whole package to b a nija warrior

  • so bad.... fuck u!

  • This one's for you. _

    ( ) U

  • Why don't you apply? I'm pretty sure they'd pay extra to have someone that was made for the life of grease and stink.

  • I deeply wish Yamada would win. I think he has not trained as much lately as he did in the past, but if he would get the spirit up, i'm sure he could win, although the course is extremely difficult now. He really would have deserved to get to the final stage in this and the 10th tournament, but i guess he was just very unlucky... :(

  • Yamada will be victorious even though the course is harder that will not stop him from returning

  • yamada just lost and quit

  • Not really dude. He is a very dedicated man. I had the chance to meet him in person once. He aint a quitter. He continues to loose these days but he still comes back time after time ot try again.

  • I hate the end of stage 3.

  • He's 42 now, guys. Think he'll EVER make it to the 2nd stage, especially with how hard the first stage is? I mean, Bunpei's 40, so he's gonna run into the age factor soon, too. BTW... Isn't our favorite competitor, Makoto Nagano something like 37?

  • Age isn't really a factor. I think he's just gotten lazy.

  • Lazy? Are you kidding me? The First Stage is crazy hard now, and I think age may be a slight factor. After all, he made it during the 10th, 11th and 12th competitions.

  • The first stage is not as hard for those who train insanely. Look at Nagano. He doesn't look like he's having that hard of a time.

Yamada, on the other hand, doesn't work very hard while training. While watching all his training clips, I'm never wondering why he can't do it anymore.

  • The first stage is hard for almost everyone. Only 5 people out of 200 in the last two tournaments cleared the first stage, and even Nagano failed once. Of those 5, only one made it past the second stage, and even he only got to the Cliff Hanger. The first stage is extremely difficult now, even for the All Stars.

  • I know all that. What's your point?

  • ...And that guy was an AMERICAN who had just started training 3 months before.

Levi's win over Stage 2 in Sasuke 20 was sheer luck.

  • Not really. I hate Levi but the second stage was so easy, even a weakling like him could do it.

In 21, though, when the Salmon Ladder actually required some strength, he went down.

  • levi is pro free running thats when he got his strength he is not the strongest but pound for pound he is the best

  • He barely has any strength. Did you see him lift the heavy walls? Did you see how he got tired so easily in stage three? Did you see him lose on the Salmon Ladder when they added weight to it? His upper body is weak.

Pound for pound, Nagano is the best. He's small and light but he has good strength and amazing endurance. Levi is nothing next to him.

  • are you kidding?i wont say hes better than nagano but he gives him a run for his money.on levis first try,he got further than nagano

  • I'm aware of that. That doesn't mean anything, though. Nagano just messed up and Levi didn't. It's that simple.

    Levi's not so great.

  • or maybe it could have been that he fuced up on the first 2 rungs

  • He's not too old to pull it off yet...

He can still win. Although now the new course is tougher than ever.

  • daang i remember watching this i jumped out of my seat seeing him fall off like that

damn this was such a tragedy for him.....

  • he fell there 3 times, and now asnt passed the first stage in 6 tournaments

I guess time caught up with him. He has competed in more ninja warrior tournaments than anyone (18 times) and still is trying.

Hope he makes it to the end.

  • Shingo is beating him in attendance.

  • it did suck, and that was pretty much the last time he made it that far

now he's not even fit enough, excuse me, FAST enough to beat the firt stage

  • u can tell that there just record the tv

  • well derderder

  • well derderder

  • Congrats...You're now smarter than a kindergarten student.

  • aww i remember seeing that. that sucked.
