I was 17 when i fought in fallujah 3/1 Lima and yes i was well awear that i was just a BOY but i knew i was there to do a MANS job i wouldnt take it to offense if i had gotten called a boy

Maybe that reporter was wrong to call them "boys". But he meant no disrespect by it-quite the opposite. He was probably awed that such.... lets call them "young men" have done things that MEN twice their age can only dream about, and wonder about.
He's wrong to call them "boys". Anyone who has stepped up, gone through basic and done a tour of duty in Iraq is no longer a child by anymeans. They more than anyone have earned the right to be called men, certainly more so than some reporter.
You dont know the first thing about the mindset of someone in the armed forces, and I garuntee you couldnt even imagine what each of them has to go through to get there so maybe your the one who needs to shut your fucking mouth. (I assume thats what you tried and failed to type)
You shut the fuck up you un grateful bastard those guys are over there to fight and kill terrorists who would love to chop your fucking balls off and shove them in your mouth. you shut the fuck up.
9 year olds cant join the army, because being children, they are not able to handle the things that soldiers/sailors/marines/airmen have to do to defend their country. You are missing the point of what I am saying. These are people that deserve respect, respect which is often lacking in news reports such as these.
No, i know 9 year olds cant join, i was just making a point.
i know what your saying, and its not like the guy's trying to hurt anybody by calling them boys, hes just trying to let people who are watching know, that there are really young people fighting...
I know that you know 9 year olds cant join. I was pointing out that the reasoning behind that rule supports what I am saying. I'm sure he wasnt trying to be malicious, but it illustrates that this man has a somewhat condescending view of these troops. Even if this view is subconcious and unintentional, it still bothers me on some level
@ddddar - his just calling them boys because they are young cmon the reported is fucken telling the whole world how brave they are, no need to get your panties in a bunch
@ddddar well, you are right but i think he was getting at their young age, not their manhood. he is saying we are sending kids to war and they are getting hurt defending our country. ps please dont flame me as I am joining in 2 years when im 18
Hey there "CharlieAlphaBravo", why don't you think before you write arrogant comments. Try reading "House to House" by SSG David Bellavia, It is a first hand account of one of the squad leaders in the video above and the alleged "Limey bastard". I don't think any of the soldiers from this video would appreciate you bashing Michael Ware like that.
And sorry bout the same comment posted twice i thought the other one didnt go through
