if you want, you could buy new motors. Those of an RC plane are enough good to make it goes faster. Or, just change the batterie to a higher one. I don't think that it would brake the circuit of it is 3 volts higher.
Just get a new car, for how much it would cost to upgrade that thiing it is NOT worth it! traxxas is good for beginers i would sugest you get on of theres cheak it out at Great Hobbies.com
buy some rockets and strap that to it that will make it go "faster" matey hate to bring it to u in this way but u just asking for it by making this video so here goes ur an idiot ur asking how a niko rc TOY car whould go faster LOL thats like asking how do i make my 85 year odl grandma 25 agian........ ur an idiot. no offence but rly trow that in the bin and buy something decent thats a pile of garbage lol i have like 4-8 of those in my shed rusting away.. says enough.
things you need to make a faster rc car: rc plane receiver , brushless motor , servo new remote control ,grip or drift tires, 7.2 or 11 volts battery, wire connecters
Umm buy a bigger batery pack n thn ajust the batery slot so that it fits correctly then try 2 swap some of the thicker chords for thinner ones n downsize other parts 2 giving it more power n less wieght 2 go faster
Easy, locate the transistors that goto the motor, and swap them for ones that use less power. Also reduce the resistors that are connected to the transistors by 100-200 ohms. This will give you a little more speed. Or, just swap that old Mboard for a better one.
buy a rz superstock motor and a 3600 mah batter get rid of the mother bored thing and chuk in a esc and get good servos itl cost you like $150 or get a new rc car if any thing get a tamiya by far the best lol
take that motor out and the 1980s mother board off and get a brushless motor & brushless esc ( Electronic Speed Controler ) Both together will cst about $170.00 us depending on where you buy and brand Mamba Max by castle creations is a good choice.
you do need a brushless esc to run a brashless motor. also taking another look at that video looks lik that board controls the steering servo as well.. i could be mistaken tho. If it does run the steering as well you'll have to get another transmitter and reciever... perhaps a servo as well.. all depending on how much your willing to put into it.
You could by a tamiya mabuchi rs-540 sport tuned for 30$AUD form local hobby shop and get a set of ball bearings and get a better speed controller and get a 8.4v 3600mah battery for it and do all that and you will get at least 20kph difference if you do all that that's what im doing to my buggy and i don't have that much for brushless so that the last step for brushed if you want faster then the next step is brushless and lipos.
That's a toy save for a traxxas slash man they haul ass
ddemko100 1 day ago
i agree a 3300 mah lipo would be best

if you want it to go faster buy an
- electronic speed control (esc) - $30
-new drift tires instead of tape - $10- $20
-a bigger brushless motor not brushed - $50-$100 for a good one
-bigger "li-po" battery 11.1v - $30-$100
-hi-tec digital high torque servos - $150 super responsive for better drifts i love 'em
-and weight reduction never hurts
thats how you make it rip

Looks like a walmart 1/10 scale w/a 540 brushed motor. Just go to a hobby store and buy one of those hobby scaled cars.

get a XL5 esc, titan 550 motor 12 turn, and thats all. the 550 motor is huge tho, steal a 540 motor! they sell FAST ones that would let this go 50+!
