Why the hell would you want to listen to this beautifull piece without Anthony's dialogue? It's part of the mystique. He *is* the object of fascination.
@ProjectZeus i would suggest reading Hannibal Rising and then watching the movies in order, but silence of the lambs and hannibal will be the best adapted from the books to film
I simply love the music, but sadly the movie itself is rather bad, compared to the books.
I think Jodie Foster was a way better Clarice than Julianne Moore. They're both great actors, but Foster just captured and portrays clarice so much better.
and the books are 1000 times better than any of the movies, only silence of the lambs comes close to the books greatness!
Surely someone must know where the track without his voice can be acquired? Even though the voice is complementing the music, it would be nice to hear the music alone.
bought this in 2001 when it came out and i still watch it atleast once a week,it is as though there is 3 parts to the film so it is like watching 3 in 1 .
@ShakespeareHamlet It was so tastelessly underrated upon release. I imagine that those philistine critics must have been deaf and blind as well as stupid ignorant!
Why were lines and scenes in the trailer cut from this wonderful movie? Can somebody please upload the deleted scenes from this film & "Hannibal Rising"?
@silver6kraid .....ich lach mich grad bissl tod über deine dumme aussage: ...bye newton and howard.....da will mal wieder einer mit wissen glänzen und schafft es nicht!
der mann heißt: james netwon howard.....
was lernen wir darauß: wenn dann ist es nicht newton and howard, sonder j.netwon howard....eine person, alles klar;)
I agree, the film is truly wonderful and it has a soundtrack to die for. It also stars some great actors/actresses such as 'Tony Hopkins, Ray Liotta and Julianne Moore.
I much enjoyed Julianne Moore's portrayel of Clarice Starling. There is an argument, much like that of James Bond, as to who is better the new or original. Personally I thought Mrs. Moore's performance triumphed over Mrs. Foster's. Mrs. Moore is a natural red-head and wore her hair in a ponytail, other than looks she had a tough demeanor and icy emotions. This of course is just opinion and you can agree or disagree with me. Rather than Insulting Mrs. Foster I leave it to you to list her pros.
I would agree to an extent. I feel that Jodie Foster was more suited to the "Silence" Clarice, back when she was a bit less of a stubborn FBI agent set in her ways. Back when she was perhaps a bit more vurnerable. Whereas Moore captures the older, stronger Clarice who has found who she is and wont take any from her peers. They both have their pros and cons.
@Sloane67665 I, actually, believe Mrs. Foster's was better. I saw Hannibal first, before I read any of the books. When I saw Silence of the Lambs, though, it just struck me that she portrayed the character better. While Julianne Moore is really good at her acting, I just feel that Mrs. Foster was better at the role.

A great villain always loves the classical music. Especially when he's killing people, ripping off their hearts and tearing off their faces.
Ah, Hannibal.

this reminds me of the Jokers theme music from the Dark Knight. both very eerie, both about serial killers, very similar tones.
