I love to go camping, and hiking. I haven't done much in the way of hunting in the past few years due to being so busy with my job, however now that I'm unemployed the whole hunting idea will be coming back to reality to help fill the freezers. Everyone should get out of the city and head to the mountains and live off the land for a while. The truth is though many people never have been out of the city to camp or hunt so they have no clue about survival. Now's the time to be learning.
We go back packing and camping. Being a LEO it helps me relax the mind. Just look around and see the beauty that Heavenly Father has provided us. I was down there 3 years ago, just beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
hey sootch are u a fellow virginian? wow! i feel honored to have someone like you share the same sate i live in!!! great video!!! wish we can make some shootin vids!!
You make excellent vids sootch! Thanks for everything. Ive always been an outdoor person and here in wyoming i love to walk around town and out in the prairie and mountains. We have beautiful waterfalls and mountains here. I grew up in new jersey so i know what the northeast looks like and have hiked all over. Pennsylvania, specifically the northeastern half, is an beautiful place to camp and hike this time of year.
Get back to your roots! What a laugh. I was born and raised in a concrete jungle. Nevertheless, I do find my way out of the jungle every weekend. Nothing like the beauty of nature.
your very right my friend,i usually watch nutin and go walkinbg with my dog,he insired me to do things, but its easy to be lazy and watch u tube! peace, love, life
Hi Sootch00! Thank you for all of your videos! I love watching your gun reviews and your other videos! Thanks for the video of the blue ridge park way. I'm orignially from Virginia and fond memories of driving down the blue ridge park way with my parents and siblings and climbing up a mountain to see the blue ridge mountain lake from a birds eye view. Wonderful Country! Keep up the good work. Long live the republic and God bless America!
@petrashusaband Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I love the Parkway and Pisgah National Forest. We're only 5 minutes from the entrance and we dont get up there enough. God Bless you and yours~
beautiful parkway...my wife and I drove the whole length of the parkway last year, and a small part of it the year before. And we'll do it again this year, God willing :-) When we roll, we roll...spontaneously mostly! We just get the map out and see what looks good. You are right about spending too much time on the computer, brother.
Dan; Found you thro Nutnfancy vids. Started watching your vids. Nice to see one of my neighbors doing good work. Keep up the work, I'll look for ya on the trail or @ rex's.
Amen brother! Get out to the mountains, wilderness, etc., regularly! Shut off the computer, tv, radio. Put away the magazines and newspapers. Get away and clear your mind! Have some fun. Man is that he may have joy!
there is a pipe stickin out of a rock wall on the blue ridge pkwy in va near skyline, with the coldest freshest tasting water trickling out rite on the road side, me and my dad would always stop and fill up our bottles as did some locals.

Its all good but after an hour or 2 where is the TV, microwave, Mickey D's, KFC's, waffle house etc.........How in the heck do you expect us civilized folk to survive?
Looking glass falls is covered up with tourist. Devil's courthouse is great... maybe next time :) The music was from a friend of mine and the CD was a demo. The song is named "Jew-billie" LOL!
Steve Dennis is a friend of mine that is a brilliant musician. He is not producing any CD's and gave me some of his music as a gift. I thought it suited this video :)
Awesome Bud! Great points and beautiful scenery. Love the audio too. Did you play the banjo at the beginning and end? Great job! The birds were trying to steal your lines too.
So very right. Last week I took vacation. For 9 days... no internet or news. Was awesome! LOL Outside a lot, with day trips here and there. Clears the head and heart, and physically great too.
Something interesting to note is what the Bible says about the end times. It says to "flee into the mountains". Somewhat what all the survival guru's have been saying for a while. Get out of the major cities and get out in the woods.
You're right on. Check out "One Second After" by William Forstchen. That will change the way you think about survival. It's also a NY Times Best Seller so it's a great read. Thanks amigo!
I am soooooooo jealous!! I visited Charlotte, NC in 06 and I wanted so badly to see the mountains...but it wasn't possible coz my boyfriend was ill. Well thanks for giving me a glimpse of it's beauty! And I love that Southern drawl y'all have! GBU
hey sootch actually caught one on the day you put it up....we went out last tuesday we have some property not far from bohemian grove LOL really and we were up there the other day pickin up wood for the winter fires couple cords
Love the blu ridge parkway! We used to go to Cherokee NC, every fall when I was a kid. I will have to settle for the Hoosier Natl. forest this coming weekend. Nothing like camping to recharge your batteries!
I Absolutely agree. Peace of mind is crucial. Sociaty is FEAR driven and we are all victims. Like you said before "Peace of mind is the Goal - That's the heart of the sensible survival mentality - doing with what you have in the best way you can." May the Peace of Yashua God permeate your mind and heart and may God place a divine heavenly hedge of protection around you and your family. Sincerely, JAMES.
Thanks for the vid, you have inspired me! I am going for a hike right now lol!
