In all honesty, before I bought Cool Country hits of 1997, I'd never heard this song. I'd always heard, "She'd Give Anything," and "They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore" on the radio. I loved this song after a few times of hearing it, as did a cowboy friend of mine. The only thing is, the CD version is about a minute longer than this version is. Thanks for posting this song though.
Thanks for this wonderful post. This song id SO ME. I seem to fail at any new love I seem to try. I guess I better just stay me. Keep from hurting others who mean so much to me.
I was blessed to have appreciated this group when I started listening to country music back in '93. I am very disappointed that Boy Howdy didn't go as far as they shoud have. But we all know that Jeffrey Steele has written so many tunes for every artist in Nashville.
But this song is one of my favorites and I could listen to Boy Howdy all day long.
Wow! Talking about a blast from the past. I am the little kid in this video...15 years ago. Thanks for posting. My little sister found it last night and brought it to my attention.
Great song, great video. Country music always brings deep sensations

I honestly think this is arguably the #1 country-western song of our lifetime. It captures the essence of what country is.
