I was actually JUST looking at Dr. Neal Wilson's website since I'm curious about SRS surgery. I could tell right away that he seemed like a bit of a quack. Comparing some of his surgical outcomes with other SRS surgeons leaves me to believe that his procedures stem from much older methods, as you've stated. Anywho, you look great! After reading all the text in the beginning I figured you'd be in much worse shape, but wow you look terrific! Best of luck on the rest of your journey!
You DO know thats a law suit waiting for you to take action against the dr. according to your pictures from the surgery, thats poor work to me. Hell if it were me, i would get a hold of a lawyer right away dude. good luck in the future. let me know how things turn out bud.
Wow Aaron, thanks for sharing your experience. I am a lesbian (thankfully I am comfortable with the body I am in & dont want to transition) but I was curious about FTM proceedures and the emotional aspect. Im SO very glad you dont regret haiving your surgery, but I am saddened by the fact you were left so badly scarred. I love your seemingly positive attitude despite the complications. Again, thank you for sharing your experience with us. God speed and good luck in the future for other surgeries
I'm sorry that what should have been a routine proceedure is still causing you difficulties.
May I ask, If you had it to do over, what questions would you ask or what tells would you look for in choosing a doctor? Were you limited by your insurance, at all, as to who could treat you?
I'm often asked about "reputable doctors" but not being in the medical part of science I can't answer other than with annecdotal evidence, which makes videos like yours invaluable :).

I'm glad you shared the dr.'s name. I'll keep that in mind when I go for my top surgery.

I am surprised that the scars are so visible :-/ Can't you have a surgery where the scars are more discrete? I am just interested...

As is mentioned in the video... my excessive scarring is due to the complications i had...
The scarring will be greatly reduced when I have a revision.
There are procedures that can be done for people with smaller breasts that cause little to no scarring.
People with larger breasts will have to have a mastectomy, which if done properly will leave minimal to moderate scarring.

what kind of insurance do you have that covered top surgery?
LoganJHayden 2 years ago
BCBS of MI... it was covered due to fibrous tissues or something of that nature. My co-pay was $500.00.

It's a LOT better now...
But yes it did hurt, and still hurts from time to time.
