I saw a kid have a tantrum today because he didn't get what he wanted at the supermarket. The kid looked more mature than this "adult."

The fact that some of the players were laughing makes me think that he was hamming it up and everyone including the ref knew that this was a form of "entertainment" a la WWF.

Hockey IS a tough sport to officiate. Its one thing making the calls from the stands, but when you're out there heat of the moment, you're bound to make some mistakes. Once that red armband is in the air, there's no turning back, even if you know you made a bad call.

Imo the first 5 minute major was a bad call by the ref. When Playfair told the ref it was a bad call, the ref gave him a 2 minute unsportsman like penalty.  THEN he snapped. That ref sucks .
