amazing dynamics, exactly how im tryna make it sound as i work now. Agree with the others tho, with a slower tempo your playing would be that much better.
Jesus christ it's ONE persons interpretation. Just because it's not yours doesn't mean it's wrong. He did a great job at giving us his intentions. It was consistent. Great work Sean.
Maybe I play this too sentimentally. Not only that I tell my students to bring out the left hand and concentrate especially those beautiful notes you hit with the second finger as you come across. I make them breathe in and out as they play that. Maybe it's a female vs male thing.
Oh, my you gliss's were just heavenly. I would give about anything I have to play those like you do.
Very interesting. I admit, the tempo is unexpected. But, awesome dynamics. You did an amazing job of gliding the left hand part under the right to create a controlled tempo feel with the right hand melody. Nice chops, too. I like this interpretation a lot.
I normally don't comment on piano pieces, if I do, it would be basically positive. But this time I can't help myself expressing how I truly feel: this play is waaaaay too fast. The feel and emotion was completely lost with such tempo. Sorry.
i think it s tooooo fast.. it's a nocturne. it can t be so rush!! it s talking of such big emotions that appear stupid here cause they run. try to imagine a queen very well dressed, that s running instead walking as a queen should do!! here u open ur heart to people, it has to be very gentle! try to watch d xformance of rubestain, livia rìv or
Is this Stephen Foster?

I like the speed. Some of the nocturnes sound really boring, he realy souped it up.

Well done but too fast for me. I like this nocturne slower. the Horowitz version is the way I like it.

It's the way I liked to play it as an etude,(a very slow one off course) before my left-hand started to shake. :(

This is perfect. I can play this piece, but not like you. I just can't seem to express myself as you do through it. Thanks for sharing!

Where did you record this at?
Floyd5642 3 years ago
I prefer Lívia Rév's interpretation, this is to fast for a nocturne

Probably one of the best interpretations of this piece, but horrible camera, which almost ruins it for me...
I'm sure you could afford a new one from tips from preforming just this song. lol :)

That nocturne is beautiful and this interpretation is quite impressive but i like it played a bit slower so that it sounds more sad.

this is well played, but the video camera is bad and ruins the sound.

This is considerably more musical than your playing in the those transcriptions. Much more shape and some good phrasing here.
