  • hmm it doesnt work for me.. could it be cuz i know how suggestion works?and my subconscious mite be all like.. this wont affect me hohoho...idk any other ways i can know if im hypnotiseable ...any suggestions?

  • @TheScreamingRetard No one is hypnotizable and everyone is... at the same time. Hypnosis doesn't exist as an entity therefor you can't be hypnotized. However, hypnosis does vaguely describe behavior patterns. So if you're asking, "Can I go into 'trance'?" The answer is yes. But I guess getting an answer will be difficult if I don't know what you mean by "hypnosis" and "subconscious". The "unconscious" is a whole other issue as well. Oh there's so much confusion being spread these days....

  • Interesting exposure for those who are new to the experience.

  • Am I doing something wrong? I geniunely couldn't imagine anything, not even the heavy bucket.

My right arm ached slightly although that may just have been the way I was holding it? :S

  • No. Some people can not be hypnotised. Inluenced yes, but that isn't entirely the same thing is it?

The heavey arm falls because of lactic acid. The light one will rise a little anyway but it is only the massive rise taht shows aceptance of suggestion.

  • i can accept this, but it makes me wonder which muscle groups are stronger at those two apposing positions.

  • @PirateBC Then try it with your hands the same way.

  • Well done.

I myself prefer to have the left hand hold the "bucket," so that I can eventually repeat, "The left is heavy while the right is light." I like that rhyme--"the right is light." Works well for me.

  • good idea to because well in the west we have rhyme phrases and songs so the mind can wonder when those happen if you say it over and over and your right it works pretty well that way.

  • Finally someone who is honest about our trade.

  • are their eyes close? Does it have to be?

When I try this with people, they tend to laugh and giggle a lot, especially when they start to feel the "weight" or when I increase the "weight".

Anyone care to share your experience with these situations?

  • Hi Bubblebran,I've been a hypnotist for 14 years,I would say about 85 90% laugh and giggle,it's usually nervousness being released, and they can't believe it's happening when they know there is nothing in their hands. Tell them,it's ok to laugh and giggle it's just your body releasing nervous tension.

  • not that easy if the stage is lit up, and you cant see the audience :)

  • easy..simple..truth...

    must watch stuff...

  • hehe cool
