Its a fantastic song :) i will definetly be looking into purchasing your CD soon ;) I was just wondering, how much time did you spend practicing the guitar as a kid, im 16 and have rapidly descovered a passion for the guitar, ive been playing for 5 years now but cant always find time to practice the big 10-15 hours a day, like i've heard Vai and Satriani used to do :0 What would be your advice?

Hey dave, I have not so much a problem as a mental block - I can't write a thing, but I am good at improvising. Would you think that I should just roll with that or is there a way to boost creativity?

I thought writing something was the same as improvising well-if you want my advice, dave talks about rythm a lot, and I couldn't agree more, experiment with rythms, and give it time.

What are your goals? Do you have to be productive? (member in a Band) or do you just wanna make cool songs for yourself/friends?

Just do what you like to do- dont force you into something thats stressing you out. Just collect some ideas during your improvising sessions and try to mesh them into a song :)

I'm not sure if you're having a mental block anymore, but what helps me is setting up the instruments or whatever. Like: "This song will be in G minor, with a ballady feel" or something like that, and just write what i hear in my head. I also abandon the verse-chorus-verse thing as well.
