Society, today, is so heavily influenced by 'norms' that are set in place and reinforced by advertising, marketing, public relations, and government policy. But the only benefactors are corporations and those who run them. So many people's realties are warped because these 'norms'.

I like how he talks about the simplicity of food/shelter/clothing, but also speaks to the great psychological burden that modern society bears. Speaking about only being able to control his own thoughts an emotions, therefor controlling his life. My need for simplicity lies in both the physical and mental capacity.

@ReKast it's good to read that others are of this opinion. I've also been in this frame of mind for awhile. Unfortunately, I've been fighting my own mind and the rest of society because all these things that make our lives so hard keeps eroding my motivation and strength to live like this man.

I have no words to describe how much I admire him...such a great gratgreat guy..never ever heard or think that anybody can explain life like this....How lucky we people are?still always asking for more and more and thus making ourselves life too hard..I wish so much to meet him in my life even it remains an impossible one...Hope God gives him a long life with good health(I am sure that a guy like him will be happy with whatever he will have)
