  • Sorry,i'm an italian nurse of ambulance and air ambulance...what's the POV vehicles??

  • If Anyone wants any Lights I got Them For sale Just Go look at My Videos And Email Me The Email Is there They Are Around $20.00 A SET NEW

  • DAMN!! That grill setup is sweet.

  • Nice lights; looks good.

  • too much blue needs red! lol

  • @FireFighterrock24

Hehe not if you're from Denmark, like I am. We only use blue light. Really a shame that Danish firefighters aren't allowed to put that on our vehicles..

  • that gril lighting is wicked...im looking to put some lights on my f250 one of these days.

  • looks great nice job

  • nice how much did that set up cost you

  • Nice setup. i have whelen 90watt HAW strobe in my headlights and backup lights plus a federal mini phantom led in the dash

  • ericlpeet, you might think it looks dumb. I think you are wrong...more lights and its more visible, safe for drivers and people.

Please dont post an comment if you dont like it. good video by the way.

  • in Virginia you can have no more than two red or red/white flashing or steady lights - so the most you can have is a half-loaded full-size bar, or a minibar... I think the best setup is a single magnetic roof rotator (you can put it on the rear deck if it rains) and one of those dashboard rotators with mirrors on either side for front visibility.

  • looks dumb

  • Now for my questions is what controller/strobes did you use for the rear strobes? My current able to see me flashers just aren't getting people's attention when they come up on me if I'm on the side of the road and I just don't feel safe. I want something with a little more pop on the back end. My standard headlight flasher and roof light are doing the job up front.

  • Yep each state is different and IMHO there is the problem because in Michigan to respond properly is a red light on the roof and a siren. Also per our state law as soon as they are activated we're an emergency vehicle and everyone has to pull over. The problem is we get people from other states who have no idea what to do because back home it's blue lights or green lights or whatever so they don't pull over for us.

We need a national standard so everyone knows what to do.

  • cool set up but does anyone know the limits as to what you can have on your pov in the state of ohio by any chance.

  • IMO way too many lights, should've just put a halogen bar on the roof, each to their own though

  • firefighters actually use red lights not blue blue is for police.

  • not im all places... in my township were only allowed running blue lights and we have to have atleast one that spins 360 degrees... now our cheifs cars has red lights but thats a dirrerent story...

  • No, you're wrong. Fire fighters use Blue lights. Red, is for police. Green is medical, and Orange is simply caution.

  • @theredneck1924

It is different in Each State in Ohio Red is for Firefighters and EMTs and Blue is for police use only we dont use Green

  • its state specific. in connecticut firefighters get blue lights chiefs get red and white ems gets green cops get red and blue

  • IT IS STATE SPECIFIC.... my state is blue for EMS and fire.... red for chief and red and blue for police

  • i dont think you have enough lights in the grille

  • lol nice

  • you do have to yield for volunteers, once the lights come on your vehicle is considered an emergency vehicle, i was a volunteer in MO,where i have seen and riddin with my dad whose a cop, we have pulled ppl over for not yieldin because volunteers are just as much emergency vehicles as a black and white patrol car or fire truck, maybe an most states you dont have to but in some states the statue says yeild to all emergency vehicles, ALL emergency vehicles, volunteers, police, fire and EMS.

  • Ture but in indiana its a curtisy light, they dont have to get out of the way. Cant run red lights, no sirins an no speeding.

  • i am a police officer in missouri. the law is that a vehicle is considered an emergency vehicle if it has both light and siren which is the case for volunteers in mo. they can only show blue yellow and white in front, but can show red in back, this maybe different other states.

  • informin your insurance people that you made your vehicle and emergency vehicle? it dont matter becuase in some states once you turn your light on your considered an emer vehicle, i have seen people pulled over for not yieldin to vol firefighters, either which way you go, people need to get some common sense, you see flashy blue and or red lights get the fuck outta the way, cuz the longer you stall that eme vehicle thats someones home distroyed or someones life lost.

  • couldnt be said any better :)

  • You don't have to yield for volunteers, in fact you're only allowed legally one blue light in most states if you're a volunteer firefighter.

  • I can appreciate the volunteers having to get to the call ASAP, but this is a little much. In Virginia volunteers can not have more than 2 flashing, rotating, or blinking lights. Wig wags and strobs in the corner markers are strickly reserved for fire and police vehicles (state owned) and under no circumstances can you have a siren in the vehicle. But rock on if your state allows it, just make sure you tell your insurance agent you made your POV into an emergency vehicle.

  • love the grille set up. what is the blue bar in the back? and this is why we deserve sirens.. I don;t blame you at all. People never pull over..

  • christmas time? lol

  • Where did you locate your switches in the cab of your truck? I want mine to be as invisible as possible.

  • ill tell you where i located mine. i put mine in the center console. of course i had to drill some holes to wire it though. if your not wanting to drill holes, i suggest putting the switches inbetween the front seat and the center console.

  • Hey, thanks for the reply. This weekend I finally installed all my lights. I have a white 05 crewcab 150 with the dvd prep package with the sliding track in the top center of the cab for the sunglasses holder and dvd screen holder. I placed my switches at the top center of the track above the console lights and I fit my advisor controller in the access hole for the dvd wiring. The best part about it is that when I slide the sunglass holder up to the front it covers all my switches.

  • how many watts are the strobes in the running lights

  • that is ridiculous

    lights way over done...ruins it

  • it's "way over done" until he has to respond to a call and some driver not paying attention won't pull over "because I didn't see the lights"...

  • dont you just love the people that don't pull over and say oh what lights and siren

  • It doesn't matter how many lights you have or loud your siren is. I have been running "Code 3" for about 18 years now, both as a volunteer firefighter and a cop. I have had a wide variety of lights, light bars, strobes, LEDS, and sirens. You are asking for the right of way, you are not granted it by your status. It doesn't matter if you are driving an engine, or patrol car...people don't move!

  • you know what they say the more lights you have the bigger the dick you are.

  • Nice set-up...a lil much 4 me personally but the way u have the lights postioned rlly wrks good and looks neat

  • certain departments will only allow you to have 1 blue light...other departments are less strict when it comes to vehicle lighting...in NY, the requirment is 1 blue light, but the law isnt strictly enforced

  • yeah, new york is pretty stupid with their blue light laws. but like you said, they aren't strictly enforced.

  • if somebody cant see you they shouldnt be driving

  • if thats true then there should be a SHIT-TON of people that shouldn't drive

  • well those sobs are so ficken bright

  • STEM WHACKER!

  • Why did you choose Blue? I thought Fire Fighters used red and white. At least that's what they use in Florida. I'm just curious. Blue looks so much better.

  • it all depends on where you live. In NY volunteer FF are allowed to use blue lights,. but not red/white... the law says your allowed a "single blue light" but nobody really cares if you have more, unless your running red lights and stuff

  • some towns enforce the one light rule. mine kind of dose. BC1 in sull. county talks to you about it but hte cheif just says.. ah screw it.

  • what lights do you have in the bak window of your truck?

  • You people are fucking stupid, Shut the fuck up and mind your own Business, if we put this in our cars, it's our problem not yours, we like lights, where I come from we have Comps to see who has better lights, you don't like what we do move on and shut up, we do what we want when we want so fuck off ass holes.

  • Well, if you're gonna do it do it right. For places that are allowed one dash light...seriously? Might as well not run code to a scene. No one is getting out of the way for a single dash mounted light. You'll cause more accidents than anything else. A small light bar on the roof, 2 grill lights, strobes in the headlights and tail lights, with a siren should be more than enough.

  • dirka dirka dooooooooo.. i dun gots me a fire call to get to. Fat tards like you give fire a bad name, especially the vollies.

  • you are a dumbass, you need to respect volunteers cause one day they might have to save ur dumbass!! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VOLUNTEER AND FULL TIME IS THEY DO IT FOR THE PRIDE NNOT THE PAY!! YOU wouldnt know what to do inside a burining structure

  • @derbyA01

I've seen the so-called "pride" in a lot of volly departments. Some are good, some are very... very bad. What you call 'pride' can turn into a serious power trip. Where some no-name good-ole-boy gets a big head becuase he's "everybody's buddy" in his little one-fish town. I've seen strctures burn to the ground from "pride" instead of "professionalism". I've also pulled my share of limp bodies from buildings, and picked a few off the side of a cliff myself, thanks.

  • christmas three???

  • Depends on what fd your on and the countys laws are

and that is toooooo many lights

  • There is no such thing as to many lights, now there is a thing called to many amps, a dead Bat and a Burned out Alt.

  • I want to do that to my truck, it looks AWESOME.

  • Is this legal to do on a civilian car?

  • no its not

  • That is a lot of lights, but I don't care. I'd rather be seen. One day I was driving and all I could hear was a siren. I looked in all directions to see where it was and even the cars around me were freaking out. Then I looked over and saw a state trooper coming down the street to my right. I could barely see him because he didn't have enough lights. Just leave this person alone.

  • well some places you need to have a fair ammount of lights, i agree that this is pushing it way over the edge however.

  • So this is why you join the fire dept, so you can put lights on your POV. No POV's with lights in our dept. JRFPD.

  • What is it with you americans? Don't you have any understanding for what is too much? It looks like a circus has landed on your car. Two in the grille, and a bar on the roof or in the dash is way enaugh. A huge bunch of LED's looks just stupid.

  • I'm an american firefighter and I agree, that looks like a waste of time, money, and lighting.

  • Well then good thing this isn't your truck then huh?

  • He does have to many lights in the grille, I'll admit that. It reminded me of a disco club. However, he probably used that many because people where he lives probably don't pay attention otherwise.

  • Enough luights? LOL

  • What kind of headlight flashers and strobes are those for the front and back

  • What does POV stand for?

  • privately-owned vehicle.

  • Actually, in military and public safety circles, the term "P.O.V." is used as an acronym for "Personal Operating Vehicle"

  • Would look very nice if it was all synced, and less like lights on a Christmas tree. Otherwise, nice job.

  • That grill setup, is, awsome, man.

  • If hes a volly, then how is he a whacker?

  • Is it illegal to be a whacker? Is his vehicle not yours

  • pov r ike privite ike not riding in a fire truck to a call

  • What a dinger!

  • what are the laws/restrictions for lights on your pov in nj?

  • Nice set up!! But I thought that only police were allowed to run Blue flashers? I am on the Fire Dept and am only allowed to run Red and White, not any Blue.

  • depends on the state. some states don't allow red at all, and volunteers run all blue. :)

  • Yeah im a volunteer fire fighter in Mo. And we are only allowed to run blue and white or just blue

  • pa is blue or blue/white....no red unless you're a chief officer

  • in tx we can run red, red/white blue, blue/white and even red/blue.

  • ...just wondering if ur running ur blue do people have to get out the way?

  • well not legaly the dont "have" too the light is more of a "pleaze get out of the way"

  • Again, it depends on the state. In most states, pulling over for a POV is not mandated by law but more of a "courtesy move" which means if they don't have to pull over if they don't want to. The only real official universal law as far as this is concerned would be official emergency vehicles in which you MUST pull over to the right and come to a complete stop and remain stationary until the emergency vehicle has passed. Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Yeah, NY is blue or blue/amber for vollies unless a line officer. I moved to CA...I miss my blue bar. In CA, I have only seen one vollie with and all amber. they can't even use blue

  • bad ass !!!

  • How much did the grill lights cost you?

  • From the side its like "O okay maybe some wig wags" then you go to the front and its like "DAMN" lol

  • looks like a Fuc*** space ship, i have a hard time taking these guys seriously when they do that

  • That is SO SICK!! OMG! I LOVE IT.

  • Wow thats more than most police cars in my city, there is a such thing as over the top you know

  • very nice ;) police man :P

  • is it legal where you live to have more than one?

  • a lot of the courtesy light states state that u may only have 1 light. however, a lot of ppl dont follow that and usually l.e.o. dont give u a hard time bout it as long as u dont abuse it or drive like a maniac. i have a dominator in the back, dual talon and grill lights in front and i have no problem

  • disco!

  • Sweet, a little to much light in the grill but you light up almost as much as the truck.

  • I like the set up! Very nice. Is it four individual blue lights or four different flasher packs because if all the grill lights are hooked to one pack then shouldn't it count as one?

  • how much did that run you?

  • Whoa, you truck lights up about as much as my cruiser does, you have alot of blue,

  • some states only allow blue for vol fire men pov's

  • I live in md- are you allowed to put lights/sirens on your car/SUV if you are not a law enforcement official? What if you are?

    Please Help! Thanks!

  • some volunteer firefighter went way out of control

  • yes to much light in the grill :(

  • WOW! How many tickets do you get a month? Troopers in this area wouldn't leave us alone! Indiana Code says you can 4 colored assemblies, blue in front and red in back. Obviously, you've got a bit more! ;-)

For that matter, guys in my department would immediately say I was a wacker and try to get rid of me if my POV looked like that. Must look good in parking lots hanging out with the boyz tho'!

  • were did you get the set up

  • Very nice set-up!

  • nasty set up especially the grill

  • I like how you got the lights in the grill !

  • I live in VA- are you allowed to put lights/sirens on your car/SUV if you are not a law enforcement official? What if you are?

    Please Help! Thanks!

  • Unless you are a law, fire, ems or road work official; you are not allowed to have any form of flashing lights on your vehicle.

  • No blue lights, only red lights if you are a fire fighter.

  • I got pulled over on 664 near Chesapeake. The State boy saw I had a blue light in the floor of my car and confiscated it. Even after I showed him I that I took the switch pannel out of the vehicle and showed him my blue light authorizaation card (carried by vollies in NY). I don't think you can have any flashing lights on your POV in Virginia

  • you can have flashing in va but i think the limit is 2 flashing lights

  • Volunteer Firefighters are only allowed to have one blue strobe on their dash.

Of course it's lax in many places. Many of the volunteer firefighters where I work have their personal vehicles looking like police vehicles with all the lights they have.

  • the amount of lights allowed on firefighter personal vehicles differs from county to county, and state to state, it differs from as much as how many lights are allowed and what colors

  • WHere the fuck do you live that you can only have one, first it's stupid to have only one, no one would ever see you and one is no fun.

  • what does POV stand for?

  • Personally Owned Vehicle

  • you've got an awesome name brother lol

  • In what sense?

  • hey what switch box or control panel are u using for all ur lights? and how about the power supply? im looking to get the almost exact same set up for my pov for roadside superviosr at my job

  • I like it, nice and bright. How about that colly in the background, anything on that?

  • Listen all you ignorant son's of bitches! Both Red and Blue lights can represent different things depending on the state you live in! His truck is far from being a whacker. Doing it "just for the lights" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You can never be too safe when responding to a scene.

    LEDoutfitters

  • thats cool....that grill...all thoes lights!!!!cool

  • where did you drill the hole for the lights in the headlights and tail lights? im about to do it and im not sure where to drill them. i have the same truck as this one. if anyone knows let me know!

  • Personal Owned Vehicle

  • i know im gonna get made fun of for this one but what does POV mean

  • Good setup. Needs more lighta especially in the side. No one hears a siren anymore. They only see the lights!!!!!1

  • na u can never have too many lights haha. though ur trucks red and ur a firefighter, wulda looked better red with white lights

  • i agree that the truck has too many grill lights but everything else looks good ...lol the grill reminds me of something from back to the future.....and im tired of hearing cop wannabe in most non redkneck states (like mine)blue is for volunteer fire and the police have a blue/red set up not just blue *caugh* (kentucky)and a few others.

  • I know in my state it is illegal for anyone except law enforcement to use blue. red is for emergancy, amber for caution, and white just a general attention getter. most all of our law enforcement including state troopers have a solid blue set up

  • what state is that?

  • it doesnt really matter but in arkansas due to a old rape artist dubbed the "blue light rapist" (clever huh?) only police are allowed to use blue. Im not sure how that protects people though beins as most pull over for any color besides amber

  • Looks good man. Looks real good.

  • Where is the siren...?

  • those lights should be red for FIRE DEPARTMENT. not blue for POLICE

  • In some states, such as NJ & NY, red lights are only for fire trucks, police & the chief. Blue is for the volunteers. It would be nice if we had red lights and sirens, but we don't. By the way, there are way to many lights on that truck. Tone it down some, and it will be a nice setup. Stay safe brother.

  • I think some people get carried away with these things

  • WANNA BE COP

  • Yep Hard core!

  • Whacker

  • Nice set up. Looks good. What do you have in the back window?

  • The bar in the back is a 911ep 36wl/td all blue. same bar in front just a 24.

  • sounds like someone's jealous! so what if the man has a lot of lights, why the hell do you care? npfire9, i think it looks awesome brother put some more on there!

  • Because guys like him make volunteers look like a bunch of clowns. No wonder we have a bad name.

He's only in it for the lights.

  • How does that make us look like clowns? Makes me think he takes a little pride in his job. And if a cop gives him a ticket for having to many blue lights, hes just being a dick! (kind of like you) Keep it up npfire9, looks good.

  • I suggest you refer to the majority of the comments here.

  • What the hell? That's too much lights in the grill. What do you think it is, christmas? lol

  • i agree

  • It looks like TIR3 or LIN3

  • what brand of lights are you using in the grill nice set up

  • needs lights on the side

  • thats a bit of over-kill dude

  • Thing is, if it's worth doing, it's worth over-doing

  • i agree with u man its its worth doing its sure as hell worth over doing and u realy who cares how manny lights are on the truck ifhe likes it LET HIM DO IT

  • Lol dude you have no Idea you can never have enough warning lights. as a vol. fireman and delivery driver for my pizza shop i can't tell you how many times i've almost gotten ran over.rather have them see me then and not see me at all.

  • yes i do have an idea...im a firefighter also, and no one on my deoartment has that many lights. i showed this video to them and they all agreed that there are too many lights. plus i beleive there is a law in most areas that limit emergency lights on POV's.

  • How many lights would be enough for you coletrain? and whats the extra lights hurting? to me i think they are increasing your chances of being seen.

  • How many lights would be enough for you coletrain? and whats the extra lights hurting? to me i think they are increasing your chances of being seen.

  • You are absolutely right about light limitations. I believe that's an Indiana license plate I see. Indiana law (IC 36-8-12-11) allows only FOUR blue lights on a POV. He is therefore in violation of the law.

  • lol omg dont tell me you looked that up for a youtube vid argument!!!! Im passing my crown... you sir are the king of nerds

  • i take it these are your own trucks??

  • POV means privately owned vehicle...so..ya..these are all videos of the ff's personal vehicle
