  • Thanksfor share it with us!

    congrattulations

  • q lindo es tener un baby

  • Thank you for the inspiration, I almost died in hospital having my triplets. And it took me a whole year to actually recover. I am trying to have another but this time I want VBAC, doula , midwife, exactly as you have done it. I didn't see my babies for 36 hours and didn't hold them for 1 whole month (premies) the medical system is so out of touch with what is normal and natural. Thanks again :)

  • I'm so glad your VBAC was great! I about died after mine, hemorrhaged, placenta caught on c section scar tissue. I needed a blood transfusion and was told I could've possibly had to have an emergency hysterectomy. I was also told not to have more kids (I have 2). This all happened in a hospital.

  • nice story like your kids so cute

  • nice story like your kids so cute

  • Tnk u for sharing this, it was so beautiful... I have 2 kids n now that there older I remember does wonderful moments of there birth. I always tear up... Enjoy ur lil ones they grow up so fast!!

  • Hello, I loved your film. I think it's very important to have videos like this so that it enhances the importance of the V-birth for obstetricians. I am a critical care physician in Europe and I think all the more natural, is the best. I just wish they also realize it is to the managers. My best wishes to you and your family.

  • congratzzzzz but u r sexy

  • Congratulations! Your children are gorgeous!

  • Thank you for sharing! ICAN has really opened my eyes too, and as we prepare for the birth of our second child we too believe that YES WE CAN have a beautiful VBAC birth!

  • this was a very beautiful video. i now feel better w my decision to VBAC w my second child..thank you so much!

  • mierda... jipis!!!

  • Thnks for sharing this with us! blessings to ur family

  • Como e fazer uma parto dentro da'gua??

  • Deus abençoe sua família..

  • que bonita historia...felicidades!

  • This is beautiful, thank you for the motivation. I now know this is possible!!! I'm in tears.

  • Thank you for sharing your personal journey for others to learn from ==== You bless many with this.

  • I am so glad you got to experince home birth, so different than hospital. It was beautiful! Thanks for sharing!!

  • That was beautiful, and I am SO grateful for your video. Childbirthing is something the female body was DESIGNED to do, and although it's a great thing to have able and willing doctors around when it's absolutely necessary, childbirth typically isn't a medical process. God bless you and your beautiful family.

  • its a beutiful video :) beautiful child

    model child :)

  • Beautiful video!

  • Yeah..I kind of hate to hear women whining about C sections...Really? I had to have a hysterectomy after 3 lost pregnancies...And I guess you love that Vag baby wayyy more>>..

Adoption was my miracle..And it really doesn't make a difference who holds the baby first..I am holding mine now...

  • @jjgnva What a horrible thing to say to something. She felt like she had a traumatizing even happen in her life and you are going to put such negativity on it? Just because you lost 3 beautiful lives doesn't mean you should resent and say hurtful things to someone! I'm sure this woman would never aim such hate in your direction. So why would you do her the injustice of disrespect? If you don't like the video, simply exit. I'm so happy that adoption worked for you! What a blessing.

  • It shows man's constant fascination of controlling everything they can even in a mother's pregnancy. It's pathethic. I say unban it in those places because 1, it's utterly unconstintutinal, 2, all they want is more money from the moms, 3, I've SEEN vids of people who do it without it, and it's more painful and the mother has a HIGHER chance of bleeding out.

  • Ahh so this is where all the psychotic moms hang out!

  • GOOD

  • Fantastic video, fantastic story, fantastic purpose. Thank you so much for sharing!

  • Congratulations!!! God bless you and your woderfull 'new family'!!!

  • This made me cry :( I had the same experiance with my first child.. i am now expecting my second and PRAY that all goes well i have been studying hypno birthing and i am going to a hospital that supports natrual child birth... Thank you for your video it gave me some strength!! and hey i am due Jan 7th with this baby so maybe i'll have good luck on my side since thats around the same time you had yours!! :)

  • Lindos!! fiquei emocionada! familia é uma benção de DEUS

  • muito bom..

  • whats this name the music?

  • aburridooo................!!!!!!!!!

  • This video made me cry. I wanted a natural birth more than anything, but my situation was much like yours. My labor wasnt progressing etc etc, I had to have a csection too. I didn't get to have an epidural though because my platelette count was too low. They had to put me all the way out. I have not had any other children but I hope if I get the chance that I can do a VBAC too. Very inspiring vid!

  • I'm not a woman - but I can have an opinion about male doctors telling women that a c-section is always the right thing in any given birthing situation just because they get to bill more to the insurance. It's not right and it's affecting the health of our future generations. If you need a c-section to save your life, get one. If not, then listen to your heart and not some doctor who thinks he knows more than you since it is your body that is going to have to give birth.

  • @longhorndb It has nothing to do with the gender of the doctor. I was with my wife at every appointment and moment with both our births. The female doctors are every bit as bad as male doctors. It's not the gender, it's the entire medical field that has lost ethics and caring. It's so great to see people like those in this video who chose natural birth. You can see that the whole experience is very loving, you don't see that in hospitals.

    Thomas

  • ola q tal qisiera saber cual es el nombre de la cancion de los primeros minutos por favor gracias

  • CONGRATULATIONS... I FAILED, I WAS SCARED, AND I HAD 2 C SECTIIONS... WELL, GOD KNOWS WHY. BUT MY DREAM MAS ALWAYS TO HAVE A NATURAL BIRTH, I MAY NEVER EXPERIENCE IT. BUT I THINK, GOD WAS KIND ENOUGH TO LET ME BE A MOTHER OF TWO. I LOVED YOUR VIDEO MADE ME CRY! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!

  • stupid..............

  • Beatiful, i'm speechless.

  • congratulation! I really love your video story!

  • nice video - great story congratulations!

  • in Indonesia???

  • PRECIOSO VIDEO

  • DESDE COLOMBIA LOS FELICITO POR ESOS DOS NIÑOS TAN HERMOSOS, YO TAMBIEN TENGO 2 HIJOS Q SON LO MEJOR QUE HA PASADO, MUY LINDO EL VIDEO GRACIAS

  • you have a beautifull Family!!!!! wow i just watched a C SECTION vide bcuz my mom is pregnate and i dont want her to do it and i saw it and now i am afraid for her to have this baby!!!! but u did good!!!!! Cute kids. ps. im a girl on my brothers account lol :P

  • Thanks for your video. I'ma doula and your example is great. Confidence in your nature and your faith led you to accomplish what God has been honored, the ability to conceive, gestate, give birth and nurse. Congratulations!

  • What a great video. Thanks for sharing.

However, I was on the other end of the spectrum. I demanded a C - section after 76 hours of induced labor. They checked me, and I was a quarter centimeter away from having my baby. Thank goodness my doctor believed in me, as I hear these very traumatic stories about emergency cesareans>

I hope all is well if you have any more children :)

  • Beautiful! I was in tears the whole time! My son was born via c-section earlier this year. When my husband and I TTC next time, we'll have a VBAC. Was your husband on board with the homebirth or did he need some convincing?

  • so beautiful, ive had a vaginal birth with complications, c section... and begining of november retrying for a vaginal birth. i believe i can do it too!

  • I noticed a lot of people talking about how sometimes a C-section is absolutely necessary, etc., etc.

There is no way in Hell 1 in 4 or 1 in 3 births would require a C-section. Those are the rates of the U.S.

Over in countries like France and Sweden where births are attended by midwives as opposed to surgeons, they have less C-sections, which is major surgery (not minor in the least!), and a far lower infant/mother mortality rate.

All the information I posted, it's on the net. Look for resource

  • QUE HERMOSO VIDEO!!! FELICIDADES!!! TIENES UNOS HIJOS BELLISIMOS ERES UNA MUJER MUY VALIENTE!!!

  • I had a c-section for both of my children and I never once felt like a failure. i was happy that my children were healthy and that they were taken care of.

  • @nab7598 Nobody said you should feel like a failure for having a c-section, but some (many) women do. It's a perfectly valid feeling to have, especially if the c-section was unnecessary. Congrats on your 2 healthy children!

  • You gave much importance to this detail...both are your kids and both are awesomes. Baby´s health is first than a dream don´t forget that, you have to analyze posibilities, imaging your baby dies because of a negligence :/.

  • you go girl! your video inspired me (and also made me feel like i wasn't the only one who felt like i had been split in two- emotionally and physically- after my c-section. Thank you so much!

  • pregnancy, the documentary "The Business of Being Born" is a must-watch. It's time for us to become empowered and put the celebration back in the birthing process.

  • There are so many things that are just plain wrong about health care in North America, and the way pregnant women and their babies are treated is one of them. There was a time when birth was a celebration of women, and now we treat them as a nuissance. Your body is made to give birth, nature already gave it the tools that it needs. There are circumstances in which intervention is absolutely necessary, but these interventions have become a leaning post for the OBs today. 1 in 3 births in America

  • i cried when I saw you holding your first baby after the c/s. i knew that look on your face. i remember it so vividly because it hurts so much. thank you for sharing your story & believing in birth! I hope to have a vbac this october & ICAN has been such a HUGE help already for me!!!

  • and sorry for the triple post lol first time anything on youtube has really compelled me to comment

  • wrong with having a csection or needing to make that decision. In the end we are all just trying to do what's best for our babies. There is equally nothing wrong with trying to do it the way nature intended, and nothing wrong with trying to let women that are afraid or intimidated that it is okay to try VBAC. It is not selfish, and it is not crazy. As I said, I know with my daughter I couldn't do it, but my son I was never sure. And now I'm going to find out. Thanks for your stories!

  • I am 39 weeks pregnant with my third and trying a vbac. I honestly believe looking back that with my first there really wasn't any other choice. I had really high blood pressure and had preeclampsia. At the time, I was really upset when they told me I had to have a csection because I felt like I'd be cheated out of something. My second, I was just afraid to even try. Now I'm going to try but keeping an open mind that this may not work. So, from personal experience there is absolutely NOTHING

  • Your photos brought tears to my eyes. My dream is to have a VBAC as well. I am 7 months pregnant and doing all I can to achieve a VBAC. Your story is beautiful and thanks for sharing.

  • congratulations on achieving your dream

  • I'm so sorry for you about waht happened in the hospital.Nowadays people don't respect your wishes but the good thing that you held your head high and tried and did it till the very end.CONGRATS!

  • beautiful

  • this is really corny for my precious eyes

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • wooow ke hermoso video

  • This also brought tears to my eyes.I thought i was alone when i myself felt like a failure i couldn't believe i had a c-section i was looking forward to a natural childbirth & it didn't happen,it was so unexpected .I didn't feel woman-enough.I had to have an emergency c-section due to my daughters heartrate dropping, the healing was very painful ,it was dificult.I'm glad i had my husband by my side 24/7 he was my support.I now know that a VBAC is possible & am hoping to have one thankyou so much!

  • Congrats! I have a very similar story. Props to you for assembling the best team for your birth, and for arming yourself with knowledge. You go girl. Now, it's our turn to educate empower and encourage our fellow women!

  • Thanks for making this video! I am trying for a VBAC in May/June and praying that it will be successful.

  • @ pocyclips - I have Crohn's and had an elective c-section after a traumatic natural delivery which resulted in my own resection. Pro-choice here :) congrats to your wife in being able to do it the other way around!

  • Before my wifes ostomy. she had Crohns which "required" a C section for our first girl. Granted the first one was 4lb 12 when born. The second girl came very quickly thus outrunning the possibility of a 2nd "C". Mom was fine, girls were (and are) fine and again girl 2 was born 4 lb 12.I got the impression that some doctors don't want to stick around for potentially HOURS waiting for dialation and birth which leads to more "C'"s. impatience or laziness? just a question.

  • hola solo quiero saber quien canta la cancion de el principio no de cuando ya tienas a tu bebe porfas si serias tan amable

  • Just brought me to uncontroalable tears because for 10mos now I'vebeen living with regret I didn't think I was going to have a c-section I apologized 2 my dh in the O.R n he cried wth me n sas dnt apologize still love you and bc of ur vid I'm more determned than ever to have a VBAC. THANK YOU SO SO VERY MUCH:-)))

  • a vai toma no cú

  • Nice!

  • Thank YOU for being an advocate for natural childbirth!

  • Este video sta hermoso nada k ver con los otros, pero la la realidad es otra, aunk no todos los partos son lo mismos

  • I had the same experience... I wasnt progressing fast enough for them. They gave me drugs i never asked for put me on a pitocin drip and denied my right to walk through my labor. They give me a c-section i couldnt even bond with my baby because i was so out of it. My husband and I are expecting baby number two and im not in an area where i can have a home birth so we are temporarily moving somewhere where this is an option. Im so glad you got to have a birth the way god intended it!

  • awh yay.. i had a c-section with my daughter and went through a crappy experience when they had over drugged me and knocked me out. it was a lot harder to bond with her, i wanna go for a VBAC or try next baby i have :)

  • isnt it safer to have birth in a hospital what would you have done if the same thing had happened to the 2nd birth with no doctor around

  • wow u have a beautiful children God bless ur fam.

  • qui fofo muito lindo =}

  • que lindo!

  • Wow that was absolutely beautiful! Congrats u have 2 beautiful children God bless ur family I hope ur all doing well:)

  • Thank you so much for sharing your amazing story... it brought me to tears to see that you finally had a vbac with your supportive husband by your side... You're one of the lucky ones who has a wonderful man by your side to accompany you throughout this wonderful journey... Thank you again... Much love to you, your husband and your two beautiful boys... Happy Holidays to you all :) <3<3<3

  • Beautiful

  • boring..

  • It brought tears to my eyes when I read the words "I felt like a failure" I could only imagine having something like this happen. I am so very happy for you and your family! It must have felt so empowering and amazing to be able to do it the way you wanted! Congratulations! I am due in only THREE weeks!!! So excited and I hope it goes the way I plan it to! Thank you for sharing your story!

  • I must say i am in tears, this is absolutely beautiful and almsot exactly where i am at!! I am 22 weeks pregnant and had to have an emergency c-section as well (with my first who is now 7)! My story is a lot like yours...it wasnt the plan! I want a VBACK so badly and am made to feel like i really dont have a choice in the matter when i talk to my doctor about it! This gives me so much hope to have my "dream" of a natural vback birth! Thank you and God Bless

  • sweet..

  • I believe the general trend is toward more and more states setting up midwifery training and licensing. In Canada, a similar birth culture, we have, province by province, over a number of years of marching, publicity and meetings with various government officials and stakeholders, set up midwifery here. The same will also happen in the USA as they too join in with the rest of the world by providing the best possible birth experience for our mothers and babies.

  • I would like to have a natural birth, but it is not possible. Reed was only 6 lbs 6 ounces and was stuck, I couldn't imagine if I had had a bigger baby (I am sure I would not be here, or would be without my uterus, since they talked about removing it anyways). I also can tell that I am weaker on that side and that my hip does not work as well on that side, probably because of the scar tissue there. So I won't risk a natural birth. I recovered from a partial vaginal and c-section the 1st time lol

  • Comment removed

  • I am not allowed to have a natural birth if I choose to have another child. I have to have a c-section. They believe that pushing could cause that muscle that my son ripped to tear again or snap. So in a way I do understand that women need to have a choice, because if I do decide to have another child (very unlikely as I will not risk my son going to his father if I do lose my life) I will not set a c-section date. I want to go into labor naturally and then go in for an emergency c-section.

  • @Reedsmum I am so sorry if this video made you feel bad for having a c-section, that is certainly not the intention. Many c-sections are absolutely necessary and we thank the wonderful doctors for what they can do and for saving lives. But for some of us, the c-section was not necessary and that is when it becomes difficult. Furthermore, many hospitals and OB's are banning VBAC's and not even giving women a choice for how they want to birth. Thus, women are turning to homebirth.

  • @worthysw I had a vaginal birth 1st time around, and a c section the 2cnd time due to "failure to progress" long story , but unessecary c section. I feel robbed of the birth experience! This time I am with two nurse midwives who are totally commited and awesome. I cant wait to try for vbac...

  • @Reedsmum However, in some states in the USA, they are even making homebirth illegal. What is desired is for women to be empowered in the choices they make regarding birth whether that is a c-section or a natural birth; and for all women to actually have a choice when it comes to where and how they want to give birth. Thanks for your comment and my best to you and yours.

  • @Reedsmum Were you induced with misoprostol/cytotec?

  • I am glad that you are able to have a natural birth after a c-section. The thing with this is to advocate natural birth for everyone is not necessarily appropriate. If it hadn't been for my team of doctors and a c-section it is very possible that my son and I could have died. I pushed for 5 hours before they decided to take me to a c-section (he stopped at a plus 2 after an hour and a half of pushing). He was stuck in the birth canal. It took one pushing one pulling to get him out. I almost died

  • im so touched by dis video ....me n my wife going 2 hv our baby....thx 4 dis video....

  • u guys r so beautiful....now i wana have VBAC too :)

  • great video...

  • @onebadmoto Really no need to be rude. You are welcome to your opinion, but best not to see it in such black and white terms. There is a strong body of evidence for naturalising births as much as possible, with better outcomes for both mother and baby. Epidurals and caesareans have their place and are vital in certain situations, but this is not one of them. If more hospitals encouraged water/good positioning/less clock-watching the % epidural/CS rates would plummet. The evidence is there.

  • Thank for posting this, it moved me immensely. Onebadmoto obviously doesn't understand that if a more medical birth is suggested for no better reason than failure to progress, it comes with its own set of risks, including doubling chances of CS. In your case with a pool/good positioning/clock not being watched, your first birth could well have been less medical. There are plenty of cases when CS is a medical necessity and thank goodness we have it as an option. Shades of grey! ☺

  • @singingmummy1974 actually that's kinda my point. there is actual scientific proof that it would be a much better choice to be at a hospital with those who are trained to react if there are complications. you're right everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn't mean that one isn't clearly wrong. you're right many make bad choices and ones that are clearly illogical emotional decisions. I would never wish ill will on someone, but let's put it this way, I've heard the horror stories.

  • @onebadmoto the stories are true straight from people that work in that field. minutes and seconds can be the difference between life and death. the reason doctors go to school for 6 or 8 year programs is because that is just the education you need to be able to really learn their specialty. myths made up by certain groups not only are somewhat comical, but they're dangerous. look at history both mother and child dying for many different reasons have been drastically improved with times.

  • @onebadmoto Thanks for your reply. It's easy to misconstrue someone's intention on these posts! I guess that people can 'find' proof for either approach. The main thing is that whoever is looking after the woman during the labour and birth knows what danger signs to look out for and when to just encourage women to believe in their body's ability to birth babies. As an educator of course I feel that knowledge and confidence helps immensely, even if it's not the answer in all cases ☺

  • @singingmummy1974: I did end up having an epideral, but had gone in saying I was not going to. The doctors didn't pressure me and didn't ask me if I wanted one. They actually encouraged me to try and wait on it. I couldn't. I have male hips that never bowed out at puberty and it is a good thing that I did have the epideral otherwise him being stuck for 3 1/2 hours might have been rather painful.

  • @Reedsmum Thanks for your thoughts. The main thing with every birth is being happy in yourself that the outcome was the best one for you given the circumstances. Clearly worthysw had different circumstances first time round; in your case I bet you must be glad the epidural was available. As women we talk a good talk but are sometimes easily influenced in labour due to fear or lack of knowledge. This does not appear to have been the case for you, though it sounds like it was for worthysw.

  • Since the beginning of time women everywhere have been looking for ways to complicate giving birth. This is definitely going the right way. Doctors clearly are unnecessary. I'm a husband of an OBGYN and they don't know jack about vaginas. go ahead and listen to your hippie lady friend who said no no hospitals let's do it in an inflatable pool. Keep up the good work. Next time you cut off an appendage just sew it back on using a thread and needle. Medical science is clearly not the way to go.

  • I had the same first experience you did. I am very inspired by your story.

  • You're very lucky to have ended up getting your dream. My experience was very tough - I didn't get to hold my baby for almost two months because he was born with a birth defect and was placed in the NICU for 3 months since birth.

No one should ever feel like a failure, because you can never plan for the unexpected. It took a long time to realize that I didn't fail - it just wasn't in the cards for me. I can still hope and pray that next time will be different. Thank you for your video :)

  • Thank you 4 posting. I planned a home, water hypnobirth for my 1st & ended up with an emergency Csection for the opposite reason (labour too fast!) I was contracting every minute from the word go & went from 1 - 6cam in 30 minutes ouch! I really want what I hoped for 1st time around but am terrified of the same aggresive labour & uterine rupture as a result. Did they give you any info on this? I live in the UK & getting info from my Dr is impossible!!!

  • Crying.. I believe exactly what you do. The people in the room with you must be people that can help you achieve your ultimate birth experience. Ina May is a genius! Her book let me experience a water birth in just 3.5hrs. I have no doubt that if you trust your body and the people around you, you have every chance of birthing your baby naturally and without unecessary intervention! I did a calm birth course and it was well worth it.

  • All I can say is WOW! I've been think about trying a VBAC . I will do some research. Your video was very inspiring, Thank you.

  • It is just magic!! congratulations... but remmember: your jurney continues!!! Good luck

  • I am crying uncontrollably after seeing that! What a beautiful thing! I pray one day when I have another baby that I will VBAC @ Home. I had a very similar first experience that you did.

    Congrats to your beautiful family!

  • Wow! That brought tears to my eyes. That was so wonderful. Thank you for sharing the video.

  • Your story is EXACTLY like mine. My Baby girl was born by C-section (because my doctor said her heart rate was increasing and it wasn't happening fast enough) and now I'm pregnant with my baby boy and I'm going for a VBAC. I regret going with whatever my doctor said so I have hope for this birth. I have a new doctor and he does many VBAC's for his patients.

  • You are so inspiring, i am pregnant with baby number 5 and have had 3 of my children naturally then my 4th by C-sec because of time restrictions to get things going, i so want to VBAC and i know i can do it. i watch video's like yours and im crying because thats going to be me! Congratulations x

  • Thank you so much for this video!! Truly beautiful and inspiring. Went through the same with my son and it was hard to overcome what happened. pregnant with baby # 2 and hoping for a VBAC via water birth!! Your video makes me believe I can do it too!!

  • Love this video!!! i just had my first baby Ifelt defeated myself! I wanted natural so bad! i was in labor 32 hours, pushed for 2, no epidural til i was at 10 cm and couldn't take it anymore STILL nothing! she was face up and needed a c-section too! I felt so in adequate that i couldn't have the natural birth I wanted. So I thank you for sharing your story! It's nice knowing I'm not alone in my feelings!

  • i can sympathise with you so much, i had my son when i was 16 , very fast and natural birth, my daughter was the same when i was 19, both very quick and easy births, then last year i fell pregnant with my son, expected it to be the same but he was breech and wouldnt move so had to have a section which i hated, the pain, i felt cheated..now im 23 weeks pregnant again and want a natural birth but im so scared of the scar ripping cos i only had my son 8 months ago in Dec (im due Dec again) advice??

  • blahozelam ku krasnemu porodu :-)...from Slovakia

  • congratulation,,, from Mexico..

  • thank you for your inspirational story! i went through the same3 thing as you for the first baby and am now 24 weeks into second pregnancy and can't wait for my vbac with my midwives.

  • beautiful vedio and interesting story =)

  • que hermoso video que Dios los bendiga, que hermosa familia.
