This guy is full of shit. Rebellions in East Europe were due to Stalinist opression. I know plenty of people who suffered under Stalinist opression in the 40's and the 50's who could tell this guy off.

From what I gather from this discussion with Mr. Agee, the CIA has a free pass to run "unofficial" missions that subvert the political and economic processes in various countries, toward the corporate interests of the US. These interests do not think that the people of these countries can decide for themselves, and seeks to impose it's own concepts of "democracy" and supposedly securing the people from future threats...? The ideal of government that the CIA must then be some form of oligarchy.

Thanks for posting all these "Alternative Views" episodes. I used to watch this show when I lived in Austin in the early 90s, before Austin was just another big Texas city. Learned a lot from this show.
