  • fuck propagandhi

  • not with shitty melodies it wont!

  • im seeing them live tommaro in concert :D

  • NOFX and Fat Mike have demonstrated they don't understand what's going on in the world. By supporting the Democratic party they are supporting the system that is completely fucked. There is no significant difference between the two parties, as should be obvious now to even the most clueless. The system is the problem, not the Republican party, or GW Bush (as douche baggery as they admittedly are). This whole Dem vs Rep circus is just a distraction to make you think you have a say in anything.

  • You got some misheard lyrics... Its "Life are a mattress in a robe, in a room full of emptiness".

But anyway... Nofx is the best band ever.

  • inspiring

  • who in the f*** pushed ''don't like'' on this song ?? wtf?? what's the point? i mean.. it's a free world and all.. but go listen to some other music then.. don't hate on nofx and this very humble and kick-ass song

  • Mike's a drunk, yes, (what's wrong with him being fat? it's not like he's obese) but he's also a caring father and a faithful husband -well, at least that's his portrayal on his marriage-. Let's see the whole picture. I do hope he realizes his addictions won't lead him to the best place.

  • Well...I don't think Rock For Sustainable Capitalism has actual smart lyrics -in that sense, the lyrics to this song are totally appropriate-. I also think The Separation of Church and Skate was a dumb thing for Fat Mike to write. Yet -and I'll be quite unpopular in here- I don't consider Hannah to have the simple and almost poetic tone Mike has achieved in some of his portrayals of american(capitalism) life style. One proof: 1996's Freedom Like a Shopping Cart. That's smart punk.

  • i love all the people who come on here to listen to a nofx song and continue to bring up prop.

  • @bobbygow They are the subject of the song, so it's pretty logical.

  • Well, this just makes me want to listen to the G7 Radio where they rip the piss out of this track. "shitty melodies" really? Maybe they're just pissed they haven't rocked properly for years while Prop keep getting better and better with each new album. Also, Propagandhi songs will always be lyrical masterpieces that can bring even a grown man close to tears with their message.

  • @NeisanKitsune okay

  • lol wow okay, so they take a hit at Propagandhi. Good game my friends because their message goes above and beyond the shit these guys write along with all of their "peons" that follow. They ditched FAT because it's a rehash of shitty bands (minus Screeching Weasel) and with no message. VANS selling out to the "American Way" to India.. how could you follow this bullshit?

  • Gandhi was an anarchist huh? And their talking about the skater Matt Hoffman in this song? These are quite possibly the 2 dumbest comments I have ever read on the internet on any subject.

  • @SROD12321 Ghandi described himself as a philosophical anarchist, and stated that an ideal state would be one of ordered anarchy.

  • NOFX is irrelevent, what more is there to say? Propagandhi is always relevent.

  • Ok I'm not from US or anywhere near north america and I really want to understand this song. Who's Eric naming? who's Hoffman, Mahatma (ok I know is Gandhi) and Chomsky?

  • @Carlos2312 noam chomsky is a philosopher and scientist. i dont know who hoffman is.

  • @MrPunkRock911 In my mind Hoffman is a reference to legendary BMX rider Matt Hoffman. I'm a skateboarder myself and I love Chomsky and Gandhi too so that kind of makes it a perfect equilibrium and trinity for me. Or maybe I would prefer some musician instead of Gandhi since Chomsky and Gandhi kind of represent the same anarchic philosophy in my mind. Perfect song though! As is Propagandhi's latest album.

  • @exactam0 It's referencing social activist Abbie Hoffman. Your personal tastes aside, a BMX rider doesn't really fit in with the other two people listed. I personally think Ghandi's been deified unjustifiably, but there's no denying he had a huge impact on society.

  • @Carlos2312 Carlos, you're on the internet bro. Asking that question is the worst form of modern laziness I've ever seen.

  • @SROD12321 hahahah, yeh, right before I made the comment I said the same thing to myself and looked for it and the excuse of not being from Nort America was just lame so I looked for it and understood everywhing.

  • and the winner is...chris hannah

  • and the winner is...CHRIS HANNAH

  • Are you saying music can't have a positive influence on society? Not with shitty melodies it won't. Fat drunk fuck 1, lame as Hannah 0.

  • Truth will set us free

    Such an amazing song

    really shows maturity

  • Life, on a mattress, in a robe, in a room full of emptyness.

  • fun song to play, thanks for the lyrics.

  • mistake in lyrics: " ... on a matress in a robe ...".

only found out myself after reading the booklet in the CD

  • Awesome song, I only wish it was longer :)

  • Me too :)

  • @couch8085 Me too :) no joke

  • @computerpunk41 It's great to see how NOFX don't need a long song or even a quick tempo to deliver a huge message. Dropping knowledge! :)

  • @exactam0 Yeah. Amazing song. I don't think it would have the same effect if it was longer. I like it short but I just wished there was an extended version just cause of the pure awesomeness! haha.

It's funny how I played this song over and over in the car these days, found some old tape and you responded to my comment. And it's from over a year ago. haha. But this specific song. Awesome.

  • just see the example in fat mike's life and chris hannah's life it speaks for itself, one fat fuck alcoholic and the other one is a guy that cares for every single animal (human and non human) in this shithole planet... kind of heavy isn't???

Fat mike's: "follow what i say not what i've done" seems more like a cliche to me lately...

  • @rch2487 Haha he 'cares' for every single animal? He's a fucking musician, not a saint, stop idolizing people. Just because their beliefs somehow strike a chord with you doesn't mean they measure up on any fucking vague scale of decency.

  • @Godlynessinate How does Chris Hannah not care about every single animal? He's a fucking musician, correct. A musician that sets "entertainment" on the back burner, and instead focuses on communication. Communication that speaks out about veganism and human rights. Get a fucking Propagandhi album for the love of god.

  • @OiOiJohnnyOiOi You seem to have completely misunderstood. If you'd read my comment properly, the entire point was to say stop caring about whether Chris Hannah cares about every animal because it's pointless.

  • As respectful as i can be...GET OUT OF HERE go listen to Supporting Caste and hopefully make your own valid opinion about chris's points of view, really! and fuck no! Propagandhi's lyrics are fuckin killer!

  • yeaahhhhh fickingggg yeahhhh ke temaso por dios

  • i think they need to turn melvins mic down

  • "some tell me I can't sing"

  • @Mafon2 oh i think you can, just dont do it 'round me ..

  • I fucking love this song so much.

  • They're still fucking good. Listen the whole CD, you will agree.

  • Maybe 10 years ago. Why are you insulting Canada for anyway you arrogant yankee trash. Fuck your country.
