@hpidude tbh, i only got my 360 a few days ago, with both forza 3 and gears of war 2, i was amazed at the standard of graphics on the scenery in the tracks in the mountains but was disappointed with the graphics on the track and cockpit view of the car, whilst gears of war 2, some of the levels the graphics were immense!
funny how a game such as gears of war 2 that doesn't even boast about its graphics are so much better than one that does (forza 3)

They both have added effects like AA, motion blur, etc
Meaning that these trailers aren't 100% ingame. And quite honestly, as good as the Forza 3 demo and GT5p look, they don't look THAT good. They both have flaws. So everyone can shut the fuck up about graphics. Because if you want 100% realism, you can only get that with life.
The trailers may not be 100% ingame but they are the ingame graphics when they arent motion blurred ect. For alot of people this is the closest theyll come to racing a ferrari and i think game designers have done a good job so far getting it as realistic as possible. The Forza 3 demo was great and the graphics were VERY good and the gameplay even better, so instead of ruining peoples fun, fuck off

Fact is, people are argueing over which game has "better graphics" when they both are generally not 100% photorealistic. So I think people should stop trying to judge the games by their graphics and by how good of a simulator they are ingeneral (physics).
Hence the word demo. The full game will be millions times better, and whats the point in judging them anyway, theyre on different consoles and are pretty much exactly the same. Unless someone has both consoles they should be deciding which console they like to race with to by the game. (I hate the PS3 buttons so ill be getting Forza only). Alot of the people judging wont even be able to play one of them. Arrrrgh people just annoy the crap out of me.
OKay, I'm only saying this so you won't get disappointed, PLEASE don't think I'm trying to start a flamewar.
But Che confirmed that the demo is a visual representation of Forza 3. It's closer to the final build. Granted that they will make some improvements with the AA, the full game won't look a "million" times better.
With that said, the game still looks great, but IMHO people should be caring about the physics more than the graphics. Since that's what a simulation aims to do most.
Forza is going to be a kickass game. But I'm only doing my job to warn you guys that it isn't the best idea to get all hyped up. Since you will probably feel a bit disappointed in one little aspect such as "no shifting animations" (Such a BS reason to bitch, but yea people will bring it up).
I mean, just compare the Forza 2 demo which came out months before Forza 2. There isn't a SINGLE difference in graphics and physics. And that's about the same for anyother demo.
Graphicly inferior to GT5, especially in the detailing. But at least the tires look better here. But that doesn't matter, for anyone that has played Forza 2 and GT5 Prologue knows that Forca has a far more realistic feel, you can swing about the car like in real life and the controls are much more responsive!

LOL... the thing is that the GT5 video was most likely pre-rendered, like Sony has done a number of times in the past. Which means that the awesome graphics we see there aren't probably the real in-game graphics. As for this one, it looks like it was made mainly out of actual in-game footage, which gives us a more accurate impression of how things will really look like.
But hey, I'm no GT nor Forza fan... What I'd say is: 'wait and see'.
I was playing the Demo today, and i can honestly say i don't think there's a single second in this video that Is prerendered, and even if it was, i'm certain those are the models they're using in game.

if youve seen the game before, not just trailers. those clips are from the menus. the one where the camera is panning around the car is what you see while youre in the menus. and the one where the 458 is behind white is from the car color select screen. they just used a debugging tool in order to show just the car and not the menus
The music from this video is a mash up up various things. The intro is from Mistabishi - Talk Me Down, the other parts I'm not too sure. But some of it sounds like Daft Punk.

@hpidude tbh, i only got my 360 a few days ago, with both forza 3 and gears of war 2, i was amazed at the standard of graphics on the scenery in the tracks in the mountains but was disappointed with the graphics on the track and cockpit view of the car, whilst gears of war 2, some of the levels the graphics were immense!
funny how a game such as gears of war 2 that doesn't even boast about its graphics are so much better than one that does (forza 3)

Why don't you just suck in your pride and buy Forza 3. It's better than waiting and throwing tantrums. You'll just give yourself wrinkles earlier. When GT5 arrives, I'll be done with Forza 3 and I'll enjoy GT5 even more.

Played it for a while now. Best racing game since NFS: High Stakes. And there are about ?28-29? Ferraris and they all look amazing. Soundtrack, Graphics, Gameplay: Everything perfect.

Lol, this is why GT fanboys make me laugh.
For example, they go into vids about Forza 3's crashes and make fun of the damage model. Yet GT5's damage model, if you can even call it that, looks like utter crap.
They are very hypocritical and they are going to bash Forza 3 over and over till March 2010 when GT5 will get lousy reviews compared to a game that came out half a year before it (Forza 3).

Prologue was a demo (if it wasn't obvious to you, I know taxing those three brain cells of yours can be difficult) and still got GREAT reviews. And PSP was a side project Kaz, to be honest, didn't give a shit about.

GT freaking created the racing sim genre on consoles.
GT5 is taking long because they built it from scratch (brand new code/engine). Turn 10 just improved FM2 which is why its already released.

GT5 is taking so long because Sony were shifting consoles at a reasonable rate so didnt feel the need to put out what people would think is a "AAA" title.
Who cares about 'engines' it's gameplay that matters. And right now Forza is a "game" that i can "play".

nah dog, they completely rebuilt a new graphics engine. They did however add on to the 3000 physics variables in each car available in forza2 (thats not counting the tire physics)

seriously stop comparing both forza 3 trailers and gt5 trailers.
more than half of the ferrari trailer for gt5 was pre-rendered with enhanced polygons running on ps3. so techinicaly it is gt5 but its not in game, and is just post processing.
forza 3 doesnt look as great and thats because its actually in game from the reply editor in real time. theres no pre rendering involved.
either way, both look great. im just tired of gt5 fans that get all butt hurt over forza 3

The actual game won't look like these, both GT5 and FM3 alike.
They both have added effects like AA, motion blur, etc
Meaning that these trailers aren't 100% ingame. And quite honestly, as good as the Forza 3 demo and GT5p look, they don't look THAT good. They both have flaws. So everyone can shut the fuck up about graphics. Because if you want 100% realism, you can only get that with life.

The trailers may not be 100% ingame but they are the ingame graphics when they arent motion blurred ect. For alot of people this is the closest theyll come to racing a ferrari and i think game designers have done a good job so far getting it as realistic as possible. The Forza 3 demo was great and the graphics were VERY good and the gameplay even better, so instead of ruining peoples fun, fuck off

I'm stating the truth. While the Forza 3 demo looks great it doesn't look likes some of the trailers I saw. Same goes for GT5.
Fact is, people are argueing over which game has "better graphics" when they both are generally not 100% photorealistic. So I think people should stop trying to judge the games by their graphics and by how good of a simulator they are ingeneral (physics).

Hence the word demo. The full game will be millions times better, and whats the point in judging them anyway, theyre on different consoles and are pretty much exactly the same. Unless someone has both consoles they should be deciding which console they like to race with to by the game. (I hate the PS3 buttons so ill be getting Forza only). Alot of the people judging wont even be able to play one of them. Arrrrgh people just annoy the crap out of me.

OKay, I'm only saying this so you won't get disappointed, PLEASE don't think I'm trying to start a flamewar.
But Che confirmed that the demo is a visual representation of Forza 3. It's closer to the final build. Granted that they will make some improvements with the AA, the full game won't look a "million" times better.
With that said, the game still looks great, but IMHO people should be caring about the physics more than the graphics. Since that's what a simulation aims to do most.

Forza is going to be a kickass game. But I'm only doing my job to warn you guys that it isn't the best idea to get all hyped up. Since you will probably feel a bit disappointed in one little aspect such as "no shifting animations" (Such a BS reason to bitch, but yea people will bring it up).
I mean, just compare the Forza 2 demo which came out months before Forza 2. There isn't a SINGLE difference in graphics and physics. And that's about the same for anyother demo.

Graphicly inferior to GT5, especially in the detailing. But at least the tires look better here. But that doesn't matter, for anyone that has played Forza 2 and GT5 Prologue knows that Forca has a far more realistic feel, you can swing about the car like in real life and the controls are much more responsive!

LOL... the thing is that the GT5 video was most likely pre-rendered, like Sony has done a number of times in the past. Which means that the awesome graphics we see there aren't probably the real in-game graphics. As for this one, it looks like it was made mainly out of actual in-game footage, which gives us a more accurate impression of how things will really look like.
But hey, I'm no GT nor Forza fan... What I'd say is: 'wait and see'.

what a dumbass, while your racing ingame in the demo all the cars you see there are super low res, while the ones you see on the color select screens is the highest res the game has. this game has turned out to be a huge disappointment on graphics, when compared to a game like NFS:SHIFT or even GT5

if youve seen the game before, not just trailers. those clips are from the menus. the one where the camera is panning around the car is what you see while youre in the menus. and the one where the 458 is behind white is from the car color select screen. they just used a debugging tool in order to show just the car and not the menus
