  • sounds like the whole trailer park has a radio

  • whats the best cb radio to own for a car

  • they must be very local, like down the street lol

  • i used to have fun on that small spectrum of channelized frequencies. But HAM is definitely the better choice! Congrats on getting your ticket! 73!

  • @OH2FFY What a douche. Has your "Life partner" built a bridge to get over the river your crying? *sniffle* *sniffle*................................*sniffle* I love it. A "You Tube" warrior.

  • Some locals here in Colorado Springs always try to key on everyone. So, I built a repeater to put on the mountainside, and game over. I use it with respect, but it covers the whole city with 20+. GAME OVER. It's funny. You might be interested.

  • Childrens band, ILLEGAL, lots of cbers use illegal watts in your country

  • @OchrismongrelO So worry about your own country fag- nothing better to do than peruse youtube typing ILLEGAL no one gives a shit if its illegal- and I know your response already-the fcc does. Go back under your rock homo

  • Oh my, you again! Always instigating trouble and annoying the children. Yes, many CBers use illegal power around here, but the FCC field office in Detroit, Mi has been cracking down on them (CQ Magazine May 2010) It is sad that sooooo many people waste their time (and money) with Chicken Band and the lil half a mHz 11 meter crap.... I still don't believe that many CBers dont know about the other bands like 160m, 80m, 60m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m, 12m, 10m, 6m, 2m, 1.25m, 70 cm. 1.2 gHz bands...:-(

  • @DonelsonC (that was in response to chrismongrel earlier

  • the guy at 0:56 sounds like rusty nail from joyride haha

  • I used to travel a lot and a CB was real handy before cell phones. I got in around 1970 with a base SSB that could run mobile. It was fun cranking out 25w on a clear channel. Even power mics in an adjacent channel were no bother. Talk to someone on the Interstate going the other direction and you would have a 5 maybe 10 minute conversation then they were gone. And now the old CB stores and repair joints have passed into our collective history sort of like roadside attractions.

  • judocraft..Is what legal?

  • i love the part 1:20 and 1:30

  • No one on locally anymore. I guess the internet took over. What a shame.

  • what kind of rig is that?

  • its a ranger radio with all the extra's.But I sold it a few months back for $50.was a nice radio, but got ham ticket and moved on to bigger and better.

  • congrats on becoming a HAM.. 73 W5AJB

  • legal?

  • @Judocraft It depends on what your trying to specify as legal...improper use of the CB can fall in many different categories including modification to your radio to exceed the maximum stock wattage. Conversations cannot last more than 5 minutes with another station. A one minute break is required to let others use the channel. Profanity is not allowed. But FCC does not enfoce these rules which leads people to abuse the CB radio. The reason they don't is because CB radios have phasedout since 1970

  • @oldredneckranger90 im new to CB radioing and why can conversations on another channel only last five minutes. Also what do you mean by another channel i thought you could choose whatever channel and talk to people for however long.

  • @jwoutdoors303 sorry about that I meant conversations on one channel haha all these FCC rules gives me a headache

  • @KevinRedMan2007 Ditto. Now there are 3 hams that I let use my repeater. Talk about bigger and better. Your right.

  • "Yeah you're right...I did something, I woke up." XD I thought that was funny.

  • Got on the CB in 1977 and stayed on until 1997. What a great time. Sure do miss those days. Tons of friends and great times.

  • Hello,And merry christmas to you all.The radio is a Texas Ranger TR-966.Iv'e been on cb radio, since 1976.I was 10 years old.have alway's enjoyed talking my my radio's.I also use the uhf frequency's.right now just frs/gmrs.but it's all good. God Bless. 77's + 88's

  • As been said before in the comments, BRING BACK CB, the knobheads where few and far between and I met some great people on CB and made a lot of good friends who I still know today...25years later. I wish the uk goverment would relaunch cb in the uk maybe on UHF like Australia. Thanks for putting this on. 10-10. Bionic Budgie
