I wanna know more about this artist, I've been listening to this stuff for more than a year an still know very little about its origins

Is VJ an abbreviation for Video Journalist? Where is he from? Is there a site I can use to find out more? Is this considered drone ambient?

Plus, what are the subjects that inspired the composer?
